These are the latest pics. Model is almost finished from my point of view.
Only minor things left to fix or improved, I hope that soon it will be possible to announce a target release date… finger crossed!
Amazing work, congrats.
Although I won’t fly it often as I have built a cockpit, I’ll buy it to support you and because this is one of a kind aircraft I remember from when I was a kid.
Looking forward to release
Hi Bondjpf, thanks, you have always supported me from the first posts! It has been a long ride to reach this stage.
I hope you will at least test it, me too have a home cockpit and I find it very useful for testing any possible aircraft.
Thanks to the flexibility and easiness of programming the functions in Mobiflight I can quickly swap from one configuration to another and I am ready to go with a new plane.
This allowed me to discover many tricks about how and where to find all possible variables and functions to control a custom system on an airplane, and this is very useful for me.
Best wishes and thanks for your support!
Yeah, I might create a profile in Spad.Next just for this.
I’m looking forward to trying to pilot this from within the closed escape pod.
I cannot wait to give you my money.
Cant wait to get this baby in the air.
Pretty impressive! My first post here in a long time.
This is going to be just crazy awesome to fly. Love the work on the textures!
@Airmax514 Thank you SO much for the immense passion, time, and energy you’re investing in this project! Your efforts will result in a massive contribution to the Flight Sim Community.
I’ve been lurking while following this thread and I’m amazed by your skill and talent. Fascinating to see the aircraft progress and improve over time.
For me, this is THE most anticipated aircraft in development, and I’m sure it is for a lot others as well, even if they haven’t posted.
Again, THANK YOU for bringing this amazing aircraft to life for us. The XB-70 is stunning in real life and will be in the sim too when your creation is released.
Great post PopsMcDaddyo.
Agree with all your comments here
Maybe it’s a stupid question. but what exactly are the images above with the bar labelled “door handle” with an ejection seat below and a small window(?) into the cockpit showing? Looks like a cockpit door although there doesn’t seem to be one, and it also doesn’t make sense to install a seat right in front of it.
That’s the escape pod, with the door closed, and I assume about ready to eject the pilot into the atmosphere…
Hey! I love your work! I saw on your B58 post that you couldn’t access the 360° view of the xb70, do you still need it? I actally saved the pics years ago
Hi, thanks, I have a good amount of hi res pictures of the XB70 cockpit. I miss the B58 360° image, or any other B58 cockpit photo from that image, for all the 3 cockpits…!
Adding the finishing touches…
the annunciators panels now have all the plackards that lighten up using the override emissive material properties. Adding the code to control many of them according to the manual…
Also the gauges glass now looks better, it has reflections, but remains transparent even when directly hit by the sun.
Wow, that’s nice.
I love the fact that the cockpit looks new and not like something that was just pulled out of a museum.
Amazing job! Maybe the black panels are too reflective looking from the last picture (try to increase their roughness? )
