If that is the case then that is very strange. My understanding was when screens went blank the airplane no longer flew the route even on AP.
And the magenta line even goes from the Nav map of you open that.
UnitedArt nobody as in the Devs have said the black screen or CTD are performance related issues.
Or did I miss that?
Performance is very closely linked to stability as far as i know.
I was not facing black screens for a while flying A310 and Longitude. But surprisingly yesterday while I was flying a 30 mins night session with Bonanza G36 after 15 mins screens went black.
AP kept tracking the path and I could land with using the VFR map.
It is really weird what causes this problem.
As I wrote, with A310 in Orly to Heatrow or other busy aiports I did not see that happen for a long time and I think that was a fresh start for the game (not a second flight without restarting the game).
Mostly it’s lack of ram, sim cuts the screens to avoid crashing. There may also be other bugs that cause it under specific circumstances.
It’s possible there are different behaviours depending on the specifics of the scenario you encounter. I’m mostly seeing this with A310 on series X and mostly it’s recovering if I give it chance.
I hope MS consider this carefully when designing the next iteration of XBox. Limitations on one platform have a knock effect on a platform that should have no such limitations.
Black avionics screens has definitely increased a lot for me with AAU1. I just set up a short 12 min flight from ESMS (stock) to EKCH (3rd party) using the stock TBM930. Black screens on the ILS 22L approach, after roughly 10 minutes into the flight.
I find the ground performance on big Asobo hancrafted airports (KLAX, EGLL, EHAM etc) very dissapointing as well. It’s a complete stutterfest and slow motion experience as of late.

Yes I cannot use the tbm always happens especially on taxi. The Kodiak is flawless zero problems never get blackouts
Another A310 flight from YPAD and this time screens (including VHF frequency displays) went black during pushback, quite inconvenient. This for a flight to RJAA. As usual it’s been about an hour to get to this point so as I said I would, I taxied and took off with black screens.
This time the screens suddenly sprang to life just as I pressed the button to retract flaps, and I had not touched autopilot. So presumably it’s not any specific action that fixes it for me, more perhaps something that happens within a minute after takeoff regardless. I flew the 10.5h flight to Japan in real time with no further problems. (Who says only PC users can sim airliners properly?)

To me it looks like the issues are the most common with either the A310 and/or the aircraft that had the AAU “treatment”. So that’s why i beleive there is some work to do in the stability/ performance department. With SU12 the more advanced aircraft are coming and AAU2 no doubt will come with improvements for the default airliners as well.
I am starting to get very frustrated as I’m starting to get into piston props and flying vor flights 9 out 10 times losing ap/avionics due to blackouts and they don’t recover. Coming from flying airliners ifr except the a310 it’s rare I lose avionics.

I feel for you pal the Avionics update was not good for stability it’s terrible flying blind with no ap is not fun.I would delay wasm updates otherwise they would be adding fuel to the fire
This is what i never understood. The AAU betas were brilliant for stability and performance. Now the final build is a regression. There were no release notes mentioning any changes, if i am correct? So, there must have been changes in the final build there not telling us…
I’m not looking forward to any beta testing if this is the result. We gave plenty of feedback!
And these issues still persist obviously, so it’s better to remove the “solved” tag. It’s not.

Used the HJ and came into CYYZ but BS came on the taxiway. Used my head and got credit for this one.
Then came the Longitude into EGLC and BS 2X. I shut things down. Will the update fix these CTDs? As I said earlier, your guess is as good as mine!

Same I gave it one more go today and Garmin’s blackout mid flight pulled the plug lol. Spurs v west ham going on the box
Watching it, not my teams but much more satisfaction than this frustration. They must be working extra hard to get the update right!
I really want to be confident on next update but this post has 2.5k comments…
