Xbox Pilots - What's your current peripheral setup?

Can you expound a little more on your numpad and mini keyboard mappings/use cases?

The numpad is mapped only for 1 to 9 and mapped directly to ATC reply 1 to 9.

The mini keyboard I only use for the F-Buttons mostly, F1 is refuel, F2 to F12 vary depending on plane, I have 3d-printed slip-on covers that go just above the F-buttons, on these i write functions for each plane - currently I’m flying the TBM930 so I have camera views mapped - top button bar, throttle, MFD, PFD, i find t makes it much easier to get started from cold and in flight is easier than scrolling the view etc, each F button toggles the view.

On the DA62 I have mapped each ignition, starter, fuel control so i can start up from cold just by using the F-buttons.

In reality the keyboard isn’t used much in-flight.

TB V1, Hotas on a shelf only to ‘host’ the rudder pedals, wireless keyboard to the left(usually tilted), mouse on the right. Usually work most knobs/levers with the mouse but have most critical items mapped to the V1. 55" TV 2" behind the yoke

I just SOLD the complete Captains Airbus pack including ATC headset (originally I was on PC) for MSFS, I’m on Xbox now. I won’t be buying those again. Just a game controller, mouse and keyboard for me. :+1:

Controller with a chatpad. And I’m weaning myself off the chatpad.

I get away with it because I have removed fancy camera controls and autopilot features from the controller profile. This frees up a ton of keybinds originally slated for stuff like drone camera exposure, auto-cam targets, and AP control settings that I could just operate in the rendered cockpit.

Additionally, I remapped cursor control from a simple Left Stick click to the LS+LB combo. This frees up a bunch of LS+[A/B/X/Y] combinations. Same goes for the camera reset on RS so I can click it down in combination with D-pad buttons.

Mapped several snap-to throttle settings to two-button combos: changed A+B to 30% throttle, A+X is 50%, B+Y is 70%, and X+Y is 90%.

Ya that’s one strange looking gadget. When I first saw them I thought “what the…” lol.

  • Xbox Series X
  • Audeze Penrose X headset
  • Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas One
  • Wireless Logitech Mouse & Keyboard
  • Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller (for Drone came)

LG OLED 65CX when I play in the livingroom
MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD 144Hz gamingmonitor when I play upstairs in my office/gamingroom.

I use the Hotas full set up and a specialized keyboard panel programmed for the systems based on airbus A320 and A321 flights.

I will use the Boeing yaw and trust sector at times for Boeing flights but I use the hotas stick with the beoing thrust for more refine d throttle combo.

Im currenty using series x with passive usb hub with a GT Omega racing sim stand with 2x gear shift mounts.
TM hotas, TBV1 yolk and throttle quadrant, usb keyboard and logitec G502 mouse.
Works really really well.
Ive recently added some sticky command strips( heavy duty velcro) to the top of the TBV1 to stick the keyboard more securely
