Xbox Series X- HOTAS One Issues

thanks for posting i’ll will continue to hold off playing the game until they fixed it

I was having the same probs with the HOTAS One - then I plugged it in the rear USB port and all the buttons all worked as mapped in the revised diagram.
Weird that the front USB is hopeless with the HOTAS One but works fine with my new mouse (provided I put it in before each flight and take it our when shutting the console down).

So still no fix for saving the sensitivity settings?

For me as of last night, nope. The sensitivity settings are even more frustrating for me than the button mapping, though both need to be fixed.

The new update should fix the mappings, however, not the sensitivity settings - but it’s heading the right way :slightly_smiling_face:

Good to hear! Baby steps…

Asobo knew about these problems before the launch! I quote TM here!

On the hotas 1, the trim is operated by the rocker button on the back of the throttle lever. I think this is what they call joystick axis 5.

Anyone on SU6 beta with a X-HOTAS can confirm/deny the fix for this issue?

The patch featuring the HOTAS fixes is now out.

I can’t use the Right and Left brake through TFRP.

Is there anyone who has the same issue as me?

At least I can try mapping some combos now to expand the versatility of the buttons but it’s maddening that the sensitivity issue persists. What an absolute joke.

Is this in Beta at the moment? How long do these fixes generally take in Beta.

Sensitivity save definitely not working after SU6. I also have the PC version on my laptop now to compare. I was wondering why the Hotas felt so much more believeable on my laptop then I remembered I’d changed the sensitivity on it so long ago I’d forgotten about it and it had saved it. It’s definitely frustrating that they still haven’t addressed this issue.

No, the patch is actually out. Doesn’t sort the lack of sensitivity saving, though, apparently.

@DodongY : The TRFP brakes works with SU6 (1.20.6.0) installed.

Be sure to restart the Xbox and MSFS to get the HOTAS One and TRFP correctly initialized.
Ensure also that the brakes setting are affected to axes 6 and 7.

Hey, I noticed another change: may be, they reintroduce a bug (or a behaviour) existing in previous version.

  • On the earlier version, the sensitivity settings for HOTAS One showed 16 axis.
  • On the previous version (1.19.9.0), the sensitvity settings had been limited to 5 (or 7 with TRFP) axis, as you can check here..
  • On the current version (1.20.6.0) it look like we are back to the 16 axis:

What this mess ? can’t understand this hesitation from programmers. One time we have 16 axis, next only 5/7 and now again 16 ! I’m wondering what should be the correct number of axis displayed, but probably 5/7 seems logical. I’m also wondering if the work of a programmer, had been erased/corrupted by another guy ?

I think it depends on what is plugged in first or what the game sees as your default controller at the time. One day it will show 5 axis and the next time I load up it’s 16. I had 5 when I loaded up an hour ago.

Hello. I write here because I can’t open discussions in other sections of the forum (perhaps because I’m a new user: I ask admins to move to the appropriate section). I use mouse and HOTAS ONE on XBOX S. After the last update HOTAS ONE no longer works in mfs (it normally works with other games and in the xbox home). I’ve already checked the xbox/pc switch in the back of the joystick, tried to install the game again and disconnect all the peripherals. It doesn’t work anymore Am I the only one who has this problem? Suggestions?

I’m using a Hotas One right now with the sim with no issues.

Does it show up under Options—>Controls Options? If so, try a new profile or the default profile if you are using a custom.

Does the blue light above the Xbox logo turn on? If so, will it stay on or will it turn off after a few seconds?
