I know that the Xbox Series S|X version is available for preorder as a digital unit for all three versions of the simulator. I’ve only seen the Standard version available for the XSX as a physical disk for preorder. Will there be a physical version of the Deluxe and Premium Deluxe upon release or for preorder? Or will I have to download the digital version of Premium Deluxe or purchase the version upgrade in the marketplace?
Another side question I have is: If I buy the discounted Premium Deluxe version with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and then I no longer have or pay for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, will I still have access to the game? I like the discounted price but I don’t know if I’d continue using Xbox Game Pass or Ultimate.
If you BUY the game from the Microsoft Store using the gamepass discount, you can keep it when/if you don’ want GP anymore. If you’re “renting” from the store then as soon as you stop service you’ll lose access. Even if you “rent” the base sim and buy the upgrades, you’ll lose them (actually idek if this is possible bcs I never tried). I did the former: subscribed to GamePass to test the sim on my system, then after a month I got a discount on it so I bought the premium version of the game outright, then cancelled GamePass.
Be careful. If you only buy the Premium Deluxe Upgrade that is all you own, the upgrade. You won’t own the base game to play it on if you leave Game Pass. You’ll need to buy the base game and the upgrade if you want to play after leaving Game Pass.
