I have been using MSFS on my Xbox series X for the last few weeks, and I have to say that the Xbox series X simply can not handle it. There are so many crashes, stutters etc, that this simple isn’t playable. The Xbox series X is a dedicated gaming console and should be able to handle any Xbox seri…

My problem hasn’t been GPU, but is the CPU main thread. Even with all traffic at 15 and LOD at the lowest setting, I’m just where I’m not mainthread limited. The draw distance is bad, the ground texturing at low altitude is bad, but I’ve got mostly solid 30 FPS, except in major metropolitan areas w…

Agree if whole system is slow, but if system is GPU limited at 100% then render scale is the single biggest helper to aim for the 30fps (the target). Agree, stutters are an entirely different mechanism relating to CPU maxing out. On my lower end laptop I got milage (few fps) out of HAGS being ON in …

Anything above 0 is surprisingly taxing on the CPU (I only keep road traffic and fauna above 0). And also, I lock mine at 20 FPS because I can bump the eye candy quite a bit if I don’t go for 30.

Both LODs should be reduced, but I doubt they have to go lower than you have now. Try reducing textures down and shadows down in res. They require a lot of resources. You should try running 30FPS at 60Hz and in nvidia CP have low latency mode turned on and maximum performance selected under power op…

That is most likely a 3rd party developer issue, porting old code into this game.

Well can liveries run on Xbox

I can’t turn on low latency, the 1060 Max-Q won’t allow it. I looked that up on the Internet, too, it’s a restriction with certain Nvidia laptop GPUs. Here’s the thing, I don’t even want to be doing any of this, which is why I got the Xbox. Yes, I have the money to go ahead and get a mega PC, but …

I followed all of that to get it where it is. It’s a great thread.

That is like, my favorite thread on this forum!

Grabber523’s posts through this thread are amazingly useful. It sounds like you already grasp most of this, but it is a method to SEE the impact of your settings in real time. Excellent for getting the most from a potato.
