2 tags are required: One for platform, and one for aircraft.

Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?

No

Have you disabled/removed all your mods and addons? If the issue still occurs with no mods and add-ons, please continue to report your issue. If not, please move this post to the User Support Hub.

Yes

Which aircraft are you reporting an issue about? (Please also add the proper tag for it)

A320 Neo v2

Which aircraft version are you experiencing this issue on? (You can find this listed in the Content Manager under the Aircraft Name)

Latest version, A320 v2

Brief description of the issue:

The standard commands (A and B on the Xbox controller have no impact on the throttle)

Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:

None needed

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Flight starts, remove parking brakes, press A for throttle up, nothing happens. You have to click the left analogue stick to bring up the pointer and use that to manually push forward both throttles from 0-45. Even then it does not go to 100% throttle. Disconnecting auto throttle by pressing the red button on the throttle lever has no effect.

PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:

N/A

Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:

Latest SU15 build

Hi @SpeedDemon996 ,

Thank you for this report. We’ve moved your topic into the User Support Hub.

The Bug Reporting Hub is for posting suspected or confirmed bugs that other users are able to reproduce without duplicating an existing bug report. Using the template or providing all the relevant information about your bug and sim setup is required in order to provide valuable information, feedback, and replication steps to our test team.

If you are not sure if your issue is a bug or need further input from the community, please use the User Support Hub category. If the community can replicate your issue, first search the Bug category to see if there’s an existing topic. If it already exists, contribute to that report. Duplicate bug reports will be closed.

If you believe it is a new report and no duplicate exists, then create a new bug topic using the provided topic template.

All issues caused by or involving third-party addons/mods should be reported to the third-party developer. Assure that no addons/mods are used when reporting issues in Bug Reports.

Why did you move it? It IS a bug. I don’t want people discussing it. I want Asobo to fix it.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

No

NA - Throttle with A or B works ok from my side.

Bugs related to a base functionality of an aircraft such as the throttle are usually massively reported once the plane is available. This is the 1st report regarding an issue with the throttle on Xbox, so does not seem to be a bug.
If other users are able to replicate providing detailed steps then your report can always be moved back to the bug section.
Are you using the default profile on your xbox controller ?, if not, set it up with default.
Do you have another controller connected that could cause a conflict ?.

I have no problem with Bravo Throttle settings with this aircraft, so it is not a bug. Have you configured in EFB?

This isn’t a bug, its a mapping issue you are experiencing. Make sure the mapping is correct, start with the default profile. Make sure you’ve not saved a different profile that’s conflicting, or that another controller is counteracting the controls on the Xbox controller.

OP is referring to Xbox controller (buttons instead of throttle axis).

Using the default controller with the default controller profile. The throttle up command ‘A’ does not work. I have to manually go into the cockpit and bring up the pointer to adjust throttle.

Pressing B brings the throttle all the way down.

Let me try a different controller and reinstalling the plane.

Before doing that try remapping A to the axis again.

I suggest going to the control settings, select each controller you have connected and type “Throttle” in the search box, then you will see if you have double bindings. Share a snapshot if possible.

Listen guys, there’s no double bindings, no missing controls, no changed controls - everything is default and works as expected for every single aircraft in the game, including add-ons, BUT this one.

I tried two other controllers. The issue is 100% with this aircraft only.

Is it possible that I calibrated something in the aircraft which got saved and now it won’t let me move throttles using the standard A command?

I think when this aircraft first popped up and I flew it initially the throttle commands were working fine

If you used the calibration tool in the EFB with a controller then that was a mistake. Calibration is meant to be used when you have a throttle quadrant bound to an axis not buttons.

If that is the case try to reset the throttle calibration through the EFB.

I will try that, thanks. I think I may have already but had no effect from what I recall.

Will try again just in case.

During Beta I think the reset calibration wasn’t working.

Maybe it was never fixed and the only option might be to re-install the sim so the saved calibration reset to defaults.

Ah, that makes sense. Seems like I’m stuck with this issue then. No way am I reinstalling the sim.

It should have been fixed in SU15 and there is no open bug report for that.

No, not fixed unfortunately. I tried resetting it from the left screen, had no effect. Pressing the Auto throttle button from the console or disconnect auto throttle from the throttle levers also has no effect.

Reset calibration should make the throttles work normally again, but no.

It’s gimped for sure. This aircraft is a buggy mess.

Okay, so I figured it out kind of:

I turned off “switch axis” on the tablet thingie. Then proceeded to calibrate throttle. Now
I can go from idle to CLB using A and B no problem
But that’s as far as it will go. I can’t get the throttle to move into the MCT/FLX or TOGA position.

So from CLB to TOGA, I have to bring up the pointer and manually move it.

I’m halfway there! Please someone help me how to calibrate throttle on Xbox so that I can move it freely between idle and TOGA and not just idle and CLB.

Thanks everyone so far for offering valuable tips!

At least some progress. I found some steps here that might work.
