Xbox vs PC

Morning all,

Now we have received the long awaited SU5 and as expected many issues have arisen, I’m curious to know if the Sim users on the New Xbox are experiencing any issues? I’ve read that difference between Xbox and PC is xbox you can’t access third party content? Have we PC builders abused our bank accounts only to get issue after issue with MSFS? When xbox users are glitch free?

Any Xbox uses of the sim on here are welcome to give feedback. Thanks

This is the level of detail from the update visiting the Giza Pyramids… Shocking really

Definitely encountering some turbulence with Xbox rollout. My glitches include:
-Mouse not functioning properly (solved by quitting game & console restart)
-Preordered Premium Deluxe version but only able to D/L Premium content (multiple users have same problem)
-Thrustmaster T.Hotas One (Approved Xbox peripheral) appears to have a button mapping glitch (Again, multiple users have reported issue)

Hi there,

Former ASUS STRIX Laptop player, bought specifically for MSFS. RTX 2070, 32gb, I7, 1080P monitor, £1700 setup. Returned it and waited for a Series S. I honestly find the experience smoother on the Series S and graphics wise, apart from things in the distance not rendering, graphics are the same (on a 1080P TV), if not better, and after SU5, the FPS is even smoother.

The only complaint is no community content so far and download times are extremely slow. Still downloading my 2GB Premium Deluxe upgrade this morning as it only downloaded 700MB last night :slightly_frowning_face: can’t be my wifi because it downloaded the 27GB update in an hour.

And I don’t know if this is an issue experienced on PC, but when I engage the cursor and click on the navigation map, the aircraft sets flaps back to 0 and goes full throttle :S

At least the A320 follows a flight plan now, that was the last bug I remember playing on PC.

All in all, it is exceedingly my expectations, though.

My experience on Xbox is decent so far I can say. One thing I have to note though is that in my opinion, the fps is not 30fps on airports. When moving the camera in the cockpit and external camera, there are some stutters. I think they have to add some more motion blur to the game or something to fix the stuttering when moving the camera. There is no problem for me though when flying straight in the cockpit or the external camera.
The graphics is actually really good though, it looks amazing!

Having a blast so far on Xbox. Working through Flight Training.
Some issues with incorrect HOTAS One buttons being indicated, but one I figure out which ones to use, all is well.
Looks gorgeous.

I’ve only done two flights so far on Xbox Series X in Premium Deluxe with all updates, using the Xbox controller on default settings. Luckily, I had no problems with the download or installation on top of the pre-install I did last week. Very surprised at how easy the controller is to use, aided no doubt by the smoothness of the sim - I haven’t experienced stutters (yet) in the C172 G1000 and DR400. I’ve printed out the Xbox Controller layout below and have found it to be essential at this early stage:

I’m currently installing the PC update to see what all the fuss is about. My recent PC updates have looped and stuck and been a recurring nightmare in general, but this one’s going smoothly so far (31% after an hour)
