The short answer is I am not sure.
I took off from San Jose & could discern front wheel wobble & the front unit turns/steers, but couldn’t detect up & down motion in the dampening unit. Possibly because it was a smooth tarmac runway.
Bear in mind this is an early Beta & more may be done on the nosewheel. The color of it suggests it is not finished yet.
I tried an out landing but missed the Pause point to catch any compression. (Grass Pic #2)
What I did find is that at full flap I could dive at around 45 degrees, speed held steady at 112 kia , for a very quick safe descent.

Hi guys,
Tripple congrats for your planes. I love them. I downloaded the tundra version two weeks ago and use it a lot here in Quebec on forzen lakes.
Question: is it normal that we can land on lakes but can’t take off? It’s like the parking brakes are stuck on. Can’t move or just a bit.

You should be able to takeoff without issue. I know the alpine variant is a bit temperamental when pushing too far forward on the stick. It will dig in and slow down. But everything should work fine on show and ice
Ok thanks for the answer. Work fine on a snow runway but not on frozen lakes. I will investigate again.
Maybe a unknown switch to pull the skis down?

It looks great. Lets see when it is out. I am loving the float variant. Tried it out yesterday in Alaska. The thumbnail in the sim shows the normal wheel version instead of the float. Does anyone know how to change it?

If you go to our discord channel you can grab the early beta of the NX. I also uploaded the thumbnail for the default float. I did in fact forget to add it to the zip file. It will be there for the next update.

I finaly could take off normaly this morning with another livery. I don’t know why. I’ll do a few more tests. Thanks !

What does the NX stand for in a Cub?
In various interviews I’ve heard them refer to it as Nosewheel XCub or Next XCub.
