Your Current TOP 10 Aircraft (Part 1)

Wouldn’t the biggest riser be the Comanche?

Double Ender: from 161 to 71
Commanche: from ~250 to 28

Is that the first time an aircraft has gone straight in at number 1?

IMO no. A “new entry” is not a “riser”

In the monthly, yes it is. Easily. Next best was BS Bonanza in March that hit 5th place as “new entry”.

Then the ATR in 12th spot in April.

Yes, ok, I see this.

But then the Commanche will never have had the chance to become a good riser because there are only 27 ranks left for it to rise.

The rise is for the month (compared to mentions the previous month), not the all-time table I meant though. And yeah unless it drops massively down and then up again I suppose you’re right but does it matter? Riser is kind of irrelevant really

How many different people have submitted at least one entry since the list was started?

It is absolutely correct how you have it already. It is working exactly as it should, just like a real Billboard chart.

The “Total Participants” (at top of the main chart) is updated every time a new person votes, so currently it is 432.

Oh…in a nice big font so people will be sure to see it!

That was the intention

I think you may need a note for the Twotter given you can’t buy it anymore - new people reading the list are going to get a bit lost if they try and find it.

You can still buy it. You just can’t buy it from Aerosoft.

Where? because no matter what the store says, you can['t actually buy it from OrbX - try it.

Not going to try it. I’ll take your word for it.

Hi & thanks for your first vote. But I am quite unclear on some of your choices. Please can you clarify these in more detail?

  1. is Black Square one, yes?
  2. is LatinVFR?
  3. you can’t have both in 1 slot so please use 7 places to count these separately. Also it’s the 152, right?
  4. Is just the Asobo one, not Black Square?
  5. is that that Grasshopper by Flight Replicas?
  6. is Asobo 787-10

Please edit your post to add those details and correct me.

Thanks.

I’ve added a note (removed from sale in 2023) on the main chart sheet after the dev name. Will be in the next update.

But SimMarket seem to still have it lol

It’s a 404 error on Orbx though. I’m sure I seen it somewhere else too but it may have been removed by now.

It’s been so long since I last posted in this thread I haven’t a clue what my last list looked like. I doubt It looked anything like this one though…

1: A2A Comanche 250. Quite simply the best GA aircraft to ever feature in a sim. Outstanding.

2: Taogs Hangar Alouette III. So much to love. Great sound, Good FM, love the feeling of weight and inertia, lots of customization options and the best implementation of vibrations of any MSFS heli.. In fact it’s only this and the FI offerings that seemingly have made any effort to add vibrations.

3: Nemeth Designs Schweizer S300CBi. Lacking in so many areas (sound is average at best, no opening doors, no working Hobbs meter, clock that doesn’t tell the correct time, completely wrong clutch behavior) that it really shouldn’t make the list, yet it’s physical model, textures and most importantly flight model are fantastic. Hands down the most fun heli currently in the sim.

4: FlyInside B206. Still the best all round heli package in the sim. I still feel the on the ground skids behaviour needs work (has a tendency to start moving around before you really get light on the skids) but any negatives after that would be nitpicking. A fantastic machine that should be further up the list but i’m flying newer releases more at the moment. Every time I do fly her though it puts a huge smile on my face.

5: CowanSim 500 E. Another absolute blast to fly. Nimble, responsive, highly manoeuvrable. Fun with a capital F!

6: FlyInside Bell 47G. Another that doesn’t get flown as much as it should but still makes me warm and fuzzy when she does get pulled out of the hangar. When you don’t care about speed and just want to remove the doors and have a very slow fly around while enjoying the sights this beauty sill hits all the right spots.

7: Flying Iron Spitfire. Just keeps getting better with every update. An absolute pleasure to fly and one of the best sound packages in the sim.

8: Mario Noriega Designs Caproni C22J. Quirky Italian goodness! A very unique aircraft for the sim. The only “downside” is the slightly dated internal visuals, but you wont find a more fun for your money aircraft in the sim (still less than £10… it’s an absolute steal)

9: RSP Robinson R44 (freeware). Another that is lacking in a lot of departments.. sound, visuals and systems all need major work, but it’s free so can’t complain. Flight model is great though.. an absolute pleasure to fly. To quote a real R44 pilot “The FM on the RSP R44 with native physics is really good. It flies like an R44, very convincing”

10: Asobo Cabri G2. Asobos default sim offerings barely register on my radar. Mediocre at best is the phrase that springs to mind when describing most of their aircraft. The G2 is an excellent little heli though. A lovely modern heli, well modelled, good sounds and nice cockpit. The perfect beginners heli and still plenty to offer for sim heli veterans.
