Have Asobo never heard of an addendum? A simple note added to the end of the release note with a date so we know what is happening is all it takes.

How many people do you think are going to scroll to the bottom of the release notes for that information? I know I didnât. I recognised the update for what it was based on its size, and mentally commented on the fact they had failed to update the release notes to reflect this.
If you wanted people to really see it, stick at the top, not the bottom. Or better yet, ensure it ONLY shows this is a nav update.
I knew what it was, many others did, because we had been told after the last time that this would be a regular thing. I got the Navigraph update on January 1st, so this may be what we should expect going forward, roughly a week after Navigraph updates.

So do I hence looking at the release notes. But you must recognise that a massive and unnecessary download of data we already have is a massive PITA for those with lower speed broadband. It renders the sim inoperable for many hours, means people have to keep the sim running for many hours too with no tangible benefit which wastes money. Itâs not good is it?

I wasnât actually referring to the size of the downloads merely that smaller updates outside the normal patch cadence are to be expected from now on.
The issue of why some users have to download what appears to be the last patch all over again is a a separate issue. Itâs not hit me so far.
Some speculation as to why this is were made, like users modding core files, so that when the update process us triggered, it detects this, and forces the download again. I donât think itâs that.
Iâm also not sure of it affects Steam, and MS Store users equally.
But itâs fair to say that this is likely to happen all over again this time next month.
