@LyonHaart001 : Could you provide some details about the situations where you see this stuttering?
Terrible stuttering. Just landed at KDFW at about 2 fps, virtually uncontrollable. got on the ground and KDFW wasn’t even there. Just the Terrain. the same thing happened at MCR, and Miami. the stuttering got so bad. I cant lower my settings anymore. This is crazy. Maybe I should get my 9700k 2070 super out of the closet. That ran the sim better.
I couldnt even assign any keyboard keys. the accept button doesn’t work. the Toolbar wouldnt open in VR. I just exited the Beta and uninstalled the game. I’ll put the latest back on. No more beta’s for me.
13700, 3070 ti. ,32gb running at 5600 mhz
Try deleting your rolling cache if you are using one. I have been doing a low level cross country trip in short hops and had mine at 20gb and started encountering terrible stuttering on final yesterday. I am pretty sure due to my flights it finally filled up as the world map was lagging when zooming and had stutter on the ramp when I started up the sim today. Deleting the rolling cache fixed it for me. I ended up just disabling it since I won’t be hanging around the same areas and the stutter is still gone. Probably saving my NVME drive having it off too.
I have a fast machine 13900/4090/64gb and seeing the same.
Are you using injected AI (FSTL) traffic? I’m finding it is reasonably smooth without AI running BUT approaches into busy airports/areas are almost unflyable with it running. I need to turn it off right before landing.
Interestingly, I find it better with the rolling cache enabled. I was watching Task Manager when things slowed down and network access seemed extra high. Not sure what that is about but was measurely worse with the cache turned off at JFK/LGA/EWR.
well, I for one have been clearing my rolling cache daily, and Nvidia Shader cache , and it doesnt matter. Reboot, and still does it. Badly
Can you rule out that your graphics card isn’t running out of VRAM?
I noticed slightly higher VRAM usage since about 1.37.8.0 on DX12 (up to 13.7. GB on 4k) on my 3090Ti.
Quick FPS Test:
I’ve just flown a short flight in the A320neo (v2) from Ft. Worth Spinks (KFWS) to Dallas-Ft. Worth (KDFW).
Since I really have no idea how to fly the A320 correctly, I did not configure any of the electronic gizmos in the aircraft. I simply spawned on Rwy 36L at Spinks, set one notch of flaps, spooled up, released the brakes & took off. Turned east, wheels up, flaps up, climbed to ~5,000 ft, turned north over Joe Pool Lake, flaps down, wheels down, lined up with Rwy 36R & landed. I totally ignored the multitude of warning sounds & messages along the way!
Here are a few pics showing my FPS from Spawn to landing. My specs are provided below - basically, virtually everything is set to Ultra, so FPS between 25-35 during this flight is expected and considered normal. The pink numbers on the lower left are from the Windows Game Bar Performance widget:
And here is the AI traffic as shown in Little Navmap - as you can see, a lot, as I have my traffic settings maxed-out.
Overall, the flight was very smooth. There was the usual (for me) stutter when all the AI aircraft load as I approach my destination airport, but there was no stuttering or pauses that interfered with my ability to take off, line up for landing & land.

only using 2.3gb of 8. like I said, I cant lower settings anymore.
ok So I ran some test. if set airport object 0 , I get absolutely no stutter on final. So my initial assessment that airport object loading is bugging the mainthread is correct.
Do you mean all the ground traffic and airport vehicle density turned down to 0?
Airport vehicle density.
Thanks for the tip… I’ll certainly gve this a try!
Jetways etc are still generated on final, handled by msfs LOD system. I hope there would be some kind a Hack that would make jetways rendrered after exiting runway.
I noticed stuttering after 2nd update of SU15 beta. I never experienced stuttering before. I got 7800x3d with 4090 and no matter it it’s monitor or vr, i got micro stutterings. even lowering the graphics to lowest does not help. Framerate is pretty smooth, i got 90 FPS in VR most of the time. When stuttering occurs, fps are still at 90.
by the way, i got lots of stuttering , like crazy, with the ornithopter, which seems odd, since it’s not a complicated aircraft.
Only showing 0% GPU load?
@BegottenPoet228 I’ve noticed that the widget numbers are sometimes “off”. For example, sometimes you see a ridiculous FPS value like “88856”. The FPS value is always about twice the value reported by the Developer Mode FPS counter too. Had I taken that screenshot a second or two later, it would have reported a different value.
After changing the Airport vehicle density, I tried landing at two different airports… KLAX and KDSM. At KLAX, there was a half-second to a second pause about 5 miles out, but at KDSM, there was more of a stutter at about the same distance. So possibly, some of it has to do with jetways, as @C0rsten mentioned.
Have you eliminated the possibility that one of your addons might be causing the issue? Move all of your community folder to another location, restart the game and see if you have the same issue. If not then add the addons back one at a time until you find the offending addon. If its one of the addons, you might have to wait for the creator to update their stuff.
I was so tired of the stuttering… I hid all my addons. I have also reverted from Beta to Vanilla version MSFS. Frame rates are about 10FPS at best, in the Cessna 152. Hiding addons only bought me 1 FPS.
Slide show…
I wonder what has done this? It used to run very nicely.
I think this started about 3+ weeks ago. horrible…
