as i’ve said before, they won’t let us use mods (or anything else which changes the core experience) in Career because, even though there is no global leaderboard, they still seem to think it needs a “level playing field” which apparently requires standardized default aircraft which have:
- no custom EFB or customization menus in their MFD
- all fueling, weight and balance, and flight planning ONLY via the built-in EFB
- chocks, engine and pitot covers, and copilot models
- support for Career’s gamified model of “percentage wear and tear” on aircraft systems rather than realistic system failures
- support for dirt and grime accumulation over time.
this is why you cannot fly, for instance, the IniBuilds Airbuses in Career, and never will be able to unless Asobo changes their “vision” for Career, or IniBuilds makes substantial changes (dumbing down their planes in the process) to accomodate them. i don’t see this happening.
i’m frankly amazed Asobo/Microsoft allow the SimBrief and Navigraph plugins in the EFB. can you imagine how horrible Career Mode would be without them?
