Nice one. Dinged entered prohibit airspace before i even entered the plane and damage the landing gear before entering
.I had exactly the same thing in the desert. I complained and got told to check my maps before accepting as the airfield was probably in a restricted area. Why they offer these missions in a known restricted airport is beyond me and is shoddy from whoever it is that manages the mission positions!
That’s strange, it only happens to me on VFR approaches (which would be right, as ATC is not responsible for VFR). But ATC also isn’t in the least interested in your VNAV approach, it just gives you clearance for a specific altitude and it’s up to you how you get there. Maybe you mistake it with RNAV? That’s an instrument approach which you get cleared for by ATC.
Executed perfect flight medium cargo PC-24 on small airfield in germany
No skip even jeopardies the landing gear with unlogical taxi route to take-off landing runway. But did not want to skip
Found tower frequency destination in coms panel and set the COM1
Try to call tower prior to landing multiple times and announced final. No joy.
After landing i follow the ribbons to the short stop at the end of the runway.
Saw the white box and when i arrived…white box disappeared and ribbon gave me an 2 miles backtrack via runway to hold short there.
Tried to contact anybody via radio but no joy. Entered the runway and got DINGED…Unauthorized entering of the runway .that was the first.
After that Dinged 3 times for taxi overspeed on runway well below 20kts.
Perfect flight, with all the percentage around 90%. 2 dinged set me back from S to B
Thank you Asobo. Next time better. But seriously. if you don’t have your sh*t together please remove the punishment in career.
am I imagining it or was there not a specific call-out in the patch notes which addressed that exact bug and claimed that it was fixed? hmmm.
EDIT: no, I was thinking of this:
I ran out of fuel in a flight in the Cessna 172 on a cargo run it’s capable of making if it had enough fuel in it but had way to little fuel for the flight
Did you use the mixture lever to set the optimal fuel usage?
I did and yet it wasn’t enough fuel to fly completely over Lake Superior on a Mackinac island flight to the other end of Lake Superior on a 34 percent full tank
Did you set the Fuel Control in the middle to “Both”? Standard is only left tank and must be changed, then you should definitely not run out of fuel.
I had it on both and I didn’t make it somehow
Because I left my plane twice in career mode on autopilot and found the you have crashed screen with the aircraft in the trees so somehow the autopilot disconnected and crashed the plane twice while I was in the bathroom
The way you have to selected missions in careermode is such bad design. No way of flitering at all. Its a chaos of mission for all your aircraft. Big jets getting medium cargo flights ifr to short unlighted runways.
I am waisting my time with searching instead of flying. So stupid
If you are stalling because of wind ap disconnect. Better use simrate or pause game when taking a dump😅
Have you considered the possibility that you may have a “noisy” control input that may be causing the disconnect? If you do, a “deadzone” may help prevent the disconnects.
I’m using my logic throttle for my main throttle and my full thrustmaster airbus throttle for flaps, parking break and reverse thrust for aircraft like the cessna 208 408 pc 24 and pc12, while using my Logitech yoke
Has anyone found missions for the SAAB340? I looked all over today and found just one in employee. 5117NMiles and a 12 hour flight - the Saab would fall out of the sky before 1/5th of the journey. I have looked in cargo and airline - they are seriously lacking.
Problem is you can’t search by airplane type either.
Nope. I always fly freelance these days, but I have never seen a mission for which FS will allow me to use the Saab 340.
By the by, even medium haul airliners generally have a max range of about 3,500nm. I don’t know of ANY career aircraft, available to use currently, that has this kind of range.
Yes, that’s what I thought. I put in a bug report for all the good it will do.
It would be a very nice route if they would allow us to land and refuel, just like they used to do in the old days when you had a journey from Europe to South Africa or Aus/New zealand.
I just thought, flying the SAAB 340 is a pre-requisite for the Extra Heavy missions. How the hell are we going to get that if there are no SAAB missions?
PSN: if you bought MSFS 2024 from the Microsoft Store, be extremely cautious about enrolling in the SU2 beta, or at least back up ALL your settings and your entire community folder.
the Steam installation appears to be safe. maybe.
There are loads of 340 missions if you zoom into map click on an airport and select view missions. Think medium/smaller commuter type airports. I was down in the Caribbean and island airports had S340 missions. I’ve also seen them elsewhere you just need to go look for them at airports.
