2024 Career Mode

I don’t own the CJ4 anymore so I can’t confirm, but I always did maintenance after every 2 flights or at the end of the day. I initially thought the maintenance costs had gone down like the SU1, but the maintenance column said the next maintenance was in 25 hours, so I did the maintenance accordingly and the maintenance costs skyrocketed. That’s why I got rid of the CJ4. Sorry if you misunderstood my comment. Sorry for the long post

Totally agree with you, and unfortunately I didn’t know about the price hike heads-up either or I would of taken advantage of it seeing the situation I’m in now, been trying to get funds ready for when heavy cargo is eventually released, as soon as I get over 100 million I get stupid maintenance fees which bring me back down, it’s safe to say I wont be buying additional aircraft from the store seeing I have already spent on the aviators edition

In passenger missions, at airports where passengers are boarded via stairs, sometimes the stairs don’t move and the occupancy rate doesn’t move beyond 0%. In that case, is it okay to complete boarding via ATC?
Also, has anyone encountered such a bug, and how do you avoid it?

I used to encounter similar bugs in the early days of the game. Back then using ATC to complete boarding worked well. I don’t know about the current state though

It shouldn’t be too hard to grant some kind of compensation based on player level for instance. I don’t want to come of wrong, career does have a lot of parts that are fun. But the plethora of problems just kills so much of it

I agree with your compensation suggestion, after all, I do wonder about their - Asobo et al’s - thought that free taildragger/s would be what we all wanted as compensation for a terrible product release.

They have yet to think about what would be suitable compensation for these many issues. Credits for credit loss is fair and after all would not actually cost them anything financially.

Hello.

I’m bringing up my problem again because it’s starting to degrade my gaming experience, both in career mode and free flight.

To summarize, when I want to select an altitude on the EFB before a flight (and even during the flight), for example, “Fl 180,” the value automatically decreases to “Fl 91,” on any type of mission or aircraft. As a result, I can’t choose my desired altitude.

If I choose, for example, 91 and lower, the value is taken into account.

Hoping for feedback, because the “bug” has been occurring since the SU2 update, and I already had this on the SU2 beta.

When I check the fuel and payload configuration in the EFB before starting a mission, I can only check the amount of fuel loaded and cannot change the number of passengers, etc. Is this the normal state in career mode?
By the way, I was able to change everything in free flight.

This is speculation on my part, but given this seems to only be impacting you, and I notice you are playing in another language, it could either be your sim language settings, or even the language/location setting in the Windows OS.

It would be interesting if as an experiment you reset your sim and OS language and location/units settings to English/USA/Imperial.

Hello, thank you for your reply.

I changed the language on my PC to United States, and I also changed the units of measurement:

Speed, height, distance, etc.

And nothing works.

And I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and nothing works.

The value now shows FL 76.

Have a good flight!

I’ve been flying the 737 for about 2 months now and have only seen the 40mio repair bill once. I have 300mio credits and this is mostly from 737 ops and passive.
I’d ignore the 24hr flight time window from the mechanic for routine check ups and do them more frequently.
I do the aircraft I’m flying a routine check up before each flight and every 24hrs real time for crewed fleet.

Another bug I encountered several times now is that I get penalized for allegedly entering the taxiway without permission right after touchdown while still slowing down the plane. While not as game breaking as some of the bugs mentioned by you it stills hurts the mission rating.

See bug report of that bug below…

i have also just recently had a flight where the EFB continously reset my planned flight level to an odd number (it was, i think,131), no matter what i typed in. this was, however, in free flight, in a B789.

the EFB is under heavy development by Working Title, with many more changes coming in SU3, so i think we’ll just have to wait on that (while we wait on all the other things…)

Hi everyone.

I’m back with a small update on my problem, and also to help my upstairs neighbor.

I fixed the EFB issue.

I changed the “Unit of Measure” setting in the language settings, switching it from “Metric” to “Hybrid,” and the EFB is working properly now. I can finally choose my altitude without being “reset.”

It’s strange that the option has always been set to “Metric” since December, and I’ve never had any problems.

happens to me too at about 50% probability.. I can also confirm op’s points, experienced all of them. Also “fell down” a taxiway in my 172 after the earth suddenly burst open.

Why is career mode inaccessible? (Has been from the start for me) I can do training activities fine.

try changing your server for msfs to a different region

I can acces career… no problem

Did you find a solution to the passenger issue?
If not I think I have found out why you only get 3 passengers - when you choose the 737, pick the “variant” for passengers and not for business class. Sorry if you aleardy found that out.
