So far the only missions I see are First Flights. How do I get more variety
I still don’t understand how the rating works. Now I just went into career mode and my rating was lowered by 100%. WHY?!?!

You need to fly missions to earn experience points to level up, and credit to earn a chance at more certifications.
As you do this, you will start to achieve more specializations. The specializations will unlock when you meet the criteria listed in each. But you also will have to fly a first mission in each, one of the “gold stamp” missions that are revealed when you first unlock the specialization. After you successfully complete that “gold stamp” mission, those mission types will start generating in your career mode map. Note that not every specialization is available in every geographic region - some of them are also seasonal.

Interesting. Yeah I have two specializations. My region is Chicago metro. I only see first flights to pick from. A few others appear but I’m not qualified for them yet. So I’m like how long do I have to do first flights ?
I don’t see any of these gold icons
The gold stamp missions often appear in other parts of the world. They’ll be darkened if you don’t qualify for them yet, but they get bright/highlighted when you do (and there should be a cutscene announcing this each time). It takes several successful flights of grinding and earning certifications before this starts happening.

Crossposting my only campaign mission tonight from a different platform for entertainment value:
I just flew for 40 minutes over the ocean, then the trim randomly only allowed me to switch between +100 and -100 and crashed the plane.
Can’t even remember if I had that one before or not.
Mission type: Medium Cargo
Plane: Pilatus PC-12 NGX

Now I fell from the sky straight down in slow motion without being able to steer the plane.
Edit 2:
Now I got stuck in a tree and it will reset me to the tree constantly.

Now I managed to escape the plane in the tree once the plane got stuck without falling/colliding, climbed out of the cockpit, down the trees and manage to skip to descent. For that, the game reset me to the highest altitude, and suddenly changed my trim to auto, which I cannot deactivate anymore.

Oh, my controls are also changed and throttle increase and decrease switched buttons, before currently apparently doing a weird auto throttle thing that I have never seen before. But hey trim is working again.

The mission indicators are ■■■■■■ up now and I can’t see which airport I even need to go to as it lists me to fly to airports I already flew over. Kinda just flying over the area that the airport should be in according to the map and picked one airport that might fit the bill.
Edit 6: Omg, I made it. I was honestly just pulling through to see if I can finish this lovecraftian horror of a mission at all. 2.500 credits well earned in 1,5 hours over 700 NM.

I don’t know if I can leave this to Delve in msfs 2024 Career Mode…I already own an airline and all my planes. And have hired all the pilots available.
Stick with Neofly tbh, all your progress carries over to the 2024 version of Neofly anyway.
MSFS Career mode is more of a novelty than a serious career mode. The scarcity of jobs in Freelance and the lack of FBOs make it seem gimmicky without that much depth aside from the damage + wear and tear.

I cant access all my planes in career mode. Is this because i havent ranked up enough in career or just a bug ? I have planes like the SkyCourier i would like to fly in career mode, but it does not show up in the menu. I thought all your planes would be available.
i wrote a topic about it and i totally agree with you.
That career mode is useless and boring. Just fly one point to another point. There is no “relations” like in some great addons where you can have a real career missions and flights.
MFS career is just about flying, making money, spend money, buy a new plane.
We can do all of those in FREE FLY.
Also, i noticed something: the missions are really poor… maybe only 20 missions VIP and always the same. There is no regeneration IA like they said in the trailer.
It was supposed the AI makes millions of missions always new but no.

The planes available in Career Mode are limited right now. They intend to add additional planes. I do not know when they will though.
Strange. I’ve unlocked everything and it gives me new missions all the time.

The HQ is the FBO. MSFS2024 simulates more of the elements of running a aviation company, it just does it poorly. If msfs2024 improves the execution it will be much better than Neofly. People need to understand the scoring system, we need better systems to understand the weather at the destination, the income and costs needs balancing, we need to be able to adjust the fuel quantity, the 1 star difficulty should be simple but by 4 star difficulty it should be true to life from a procedural standpoint.

I’m losing nearly 300k credits daily to insurance bills, despite not flying my aircraft. Career Mode has become unplayable at this point. I’m hopeful for a resolution to the insurance bug in Patch 3. I’m eager to play career mode, but the motivation is minimal when struggling to break even.
EDIT: Looks like the issue is getting fixed server-side. This is great news!

Bought the 208 last night. Did my first 2 hour mission, CTD when parking. Tried again today, flying along nicely, game tells me I have crashed my plane. No funds left to repair it. I am so done with MSFS 2024.
Never mind four free aircraft, if you want people to try career mode again I suggest giving us all at least 5m credits to make up for all the money and time wasted dealing with the endless bugs and crashing into invisible things.
This sim should never have been released in its current state. It is an infuriating mess.

It’s a little galling. I’m no fan of the DHC-2 yet that is mostly what I see.
I suppose it’s enforcing practice on me… 
It has been discussed at the last dev stream : As the chosen model has no trim, it’s not planned to be added.
