Shocking! Everyone’s favorite (and MSFS most prolific) dev only managed to release one professional product this week!
Thanks to the Weekly Briefing team for providing a link to the Marketplace Update post. I knew it was being removed from the briefing (I for one wouldn’t mind having it all consolidated again), so very useful to know where it’s posted. since I hadn’t seen it linked regularly (at least, I wasn’t looking in the right places).

Another weekly briefing with no mention of whats going on with the SU5 beta. What a joke
What made me laugh in the weekly briefing was that the SU16.1 beta was only a small update. When I rejoined the preview in the insider app, it said it would be over 160gb! So quickly left the beta before it downloaded!

Don’t you guys think people deserves some insight to why the Beta for SU5 is being stuck ?
Well if you think that’s funny, after su16 gutted 2020 and after almost 2000 posts on the su16 thread over the last 6 months, the fact that this update looks to have nothing to restore 2020 to pre su16 is hilarious..

The beta for SU5 is not “stuck”. The dev team continues their work on SU5, and we will release a test build to those who wish to enroll in the beta when it is ready for public testing.

Thanks for the response. But that’s a pretty much a copy&paste response.
Per the Developer forum, it’s a “few weeks away.” I’m eager to start testing as well because night flying is essentially broken on 9000 series AMD cards.
Where is KLAS for 2024? According to FlyTampa’s forum it was submitted on or before the 27th and some of these others show 2 days waiting time…
well, the SU5 Beta seems not being soon
Is there any tentative information when we can expect the next Dev Q&A? Or does it depend on SU5 nearing beta testing?
I guess they won’t schedule the next Q&A until they are sure to be able to start the beta within a week or so.
The question is, when do they plan to release the actual patch and how long do they give for the public beta. We all know how a rushed patch release looks like…
Usually a patch gets about 2 months or more of public beta ? that means we do not expect to see it at least until April or May ? IF it gets release now. Sounds normal ?
Where are the latest wishlist / bug ranking tables?
The removal of the Bug Lists & Wish Lists items is a poor direction to take, we’re even more in the dark about potential fixes to serious issues. Communication has never been MS/Asobos strong point and it’s actually getting worse, which is something.
I think they simply don’t care anymore…
