Have they officially announced they’re ditching them? Is it just an oversight?

We announced back in November that we’d be changing the format of the weekly blog based on player feedback. There will still be Development Updates, but they will no longer be published every week. Instead, we will post a new Development Update whenever the team has meaningful dev news to share.
You can read more about this change from this post from November:
Development Updates will be focused solely about development information of the sim, not Community or Marketplace news. Publication dates are not locked in to a certain date, but the goal is for a new Development Update to be published either on an ad-hoc basis whenever the team has important new information to share OR for a new Development Update to follow each Developer Livestream (approximately every other month), giving a recap of the topics discussed by the panel for those simmers who were unable to watch the broadcast live on Twitch or prefer to read a text article rather than watch a YouTube VOD of the session.
Development Updates will include the following sections from the current weekly blog:
- Development Roadmap
- Feedback Snapshot
- SDK Update
- Third Party Update
- Other Development News

Havent flown for 2 months almost now due to SU4 broke everything for me.

Is it not possible to keep the wishlist and bug count as a sticky? It’s useful to get some idea of where development is going on a regular basis.

Mark my words, SU5 beta isn’t coming anytime soon. And Seedy will keep saying “soon” 
Just admit there is an unforeseen issue that’s delaying it. Why not to be transparent with customers ?

There is no attempt to not be transparent with players. We’re just as excited as you all are to have players able to test SU5 Beta. As Seedy mentioned last week, work is continuing on SU5. Rest assured that as soon as we’re able to share some further information on the next flighting period, we’ll do so!

Thanks Chewwy ! I am by no mean trying to bash you or any other community manager.
Its just that the concern comes from the team’s last communication about it, which was “soon” 3 weeks ago, and “In the coming weeks” a month ago…
Honestly, this is exactly why they likely default to saying nothing. When their targets are interpreted as hard deadlines by the community, it likely inspires them to be less communicative in the future, not more.
We do appreciate the feedback, and understand how important wording in our messaging is to players. We’re sorry if this has been a cause for any confusion or unease.
It’s great to see so many players excited about helping test the next Sim Update beta, so as I say we’ll get the word out with further news on this as soon as we can!

Personally i just want to see if my long list of bugs got fixed

My favorite part of the SU releases, when the list of 1000 bug fixes are shown, is the completely reasonable and measured response from users saying how they totally aren’t upset that their personal bug list wasn’t addressed.
I think the majority of us have at most a few minor annoyances anymore and not some long list of bugs to fix. I really question that someone would even keep using MSFS 2024 if their list was large. I certainly wouldn’t. SU4 is immensely stable and, while I’m fully impatient with curiosity to see SU5 drop, if it never did, I’d still have a wonderful sim to use.
