As someone who loves the ‘low and slow’ environmental aspect of the sime, this looks and sounds perfect.
Before I purchase, how does the changing seasons work in practice? Is it a ‘set it and forget it’ or do you have to make the decision which season you want before loading the sim.
If it’s the latter is that just as simple as clicking a radio button or choosing from a drop-down?
I use add on linker and just click the season I want going in. Up there with the CRJ and the JF Arrow, this is the best money I have spent on MSFS. I can not fly without it now. Really great job and thank you for the updates!
Winter installed. It may not look a dramatic change, but this now ‘feels’ like a murky winter morning looking out the window onboard the redeye. Which is exactly the kind of immersion boost I was hoping for.
With the new version did you manage to incorporate the New Zealand biome changes you showed off earlier in the thread? Went for a flight around Wellington with the 4.02 mod and didn’t see any variation.
On the other hand went for a flight in Brazil and the new tall palm trees added to these biomes look pretty good.
Yes, they are in the latest update. I market them red in the screenshots here along with map so you see where they are. These are just a few. There are lots more. These areas can range from few 100 feet to couple of miles long so they may not be so easy to find. Imgur Imgur Imgur Imgur Imgur Imgur Imgur Imgur Imgur Imgur Imgur
I have your mod since day one. Stunning and best mod so far. Hopefully Asobo bring back the draw distance for trees or a slider for users.
I have purchase Mauritius from FSDG. Around the airport i see brown trees. (Wintermod). I am not sure if this is normal, your trees or FSDG trees or simple the wrong session for this area🤷🏻♂️
And forget the homeboy in the thread about Draw distance. Keep up the good work👍🏻
Thanks. I think you have the old multi season mod that was not compatible with airport mods. That’s why I only offer single seasons mod. If you do an update the problem goes away.
Tonight’s update: 4.05 (will be available on 3/20/2021)
Spring is here. Added white and light pink blooming trees in small patches around small lakes or parks in following areas in California and Mexico:
California:
Santa Barbara, San Diego, Moorpark, San Fernando Valley (Chatsworth Park, Balboa Park, Pierce College, Northridge parks, Granada Hills, Burbank), Santa Clarita, Hansen Lake, Riverside, Perris, Newport Beach, Mission Viejo, Delmar.
After having used the Season pack via Scenery Linker, I want to try the software (again). How du I switch between Northern/Southern hemisphere now? The little “help” states Please click North or South hemisphere but I don’t see any North/South buttons to press. I have the latest 4.04 single seasons installed.
Well, I was going to hold off in the hopes that Asobo would add seasons soon. But this looks so nice, and the developer has been so helpful in these forums that I had to pick it up. Now, I don’t care if they ever add seasons! This really is some nice work.
But, what will happen to this great add-on when/if that happens?
Also, when flying in the Southern Hemisphere do we just put in the opposite season of the north? So, it would be fall now?
Thank you. I don’t think you will regret this and fly again without it
As mentioned earlier, I don’t think seasons will happen any time soon as they would have to fix photogrammetry trees first, if they want to do it right.
Fall or winter season will not work with green photogrammetry trees. I recommend using mine with photogrammetry off because of this.
I also don’t think they will modify the ecosystem to match trees to native trees grown in the area. So I hope this addition will work along with their season if they make it.
Unless the devs at Asobo are going to moonlight as botanists, I don’t think their seasons will come anywhere close to what IMO is the biggest addition this add-on brings, which is botanical diversity.
