6900xt and 5950xt not performing well?

Hi all, I have recently built a new PC, all new parts, Asus x570 mb
64gb trident neo 3600 ram
Ryzen 9 5950xt CPU
Sapphire nitro plus r6900xt GPU
New m.2s
Nothing was tranfered from my old system, complete new installs for everything.
Running windows 10.

I’m only running on a 144hz 1080 screen

With everything set to ultra on 1080, I still get very low fps and in the bigger airports ie KLAX, it gets stuttering and even less fps, I feel like my new system is not much better than my old, (3600xt CPU and rtx2060super)
Im wondering if I’ve set it up wrong in some way?

I’m no expert and could be way off but isn’t the 144hz on your monitor demanding on your system?

On 1080p you’re giving your cpu the most workout. Step up to 2K or render scale well above 100%.

How low?

Ok will try that, thanks

25 on the ground at LAX

Yes that is low for your system specs.

FWIW, I’ve found that since SU9 I get some load ups where I get initial low FPS like that but it recovers totally within a few minutes. The telltale sign is a spinning white circle in the bottom right corner of the game screen, like the game is loading or saving something. If you see that circle, just wait until it goes away.

it’s usually not your ati card… Beside of common settings like the tLOD, low fps on ground is in meanwhile often caused from Photogrammetry setting (on/off).

Good topic related that:

We see low fps in special near some airport buildings and stay at ground. Some feet above ground, the fps will come back to “normal” ( best test-case is a helicopter ).

Why you get lower fps with your new system… hmmm…

So I found this worked AMD Adrenalin settings/MSFS setting specific for AMD? - #2 by Maxisone
