Awesome! It’s that kind of model, that makes one want to go flying. Agree on the above and I need to spend more time in the documentation for #2. For #3, here is something I adapted from https://a2asimulations.com/downloads/manuals/Aerostar%20manual%20parts.pdf
To fly a GPS flight plan without GPSS:
- Set CDI source to GPS
- Set HSI course to GPS desired track for the current leg (DTK)
- Activate autpilot NAV mode.
- At the end of each flightplan leg the GPS will notify you about the new course (DTK) you have to set on the HSI to continue tracking.
To fly a GPS flightplan with GPSS:
- Set CDI source to GPS.
- Set HDG/GPSS switch to GPSS
- Activate HDG mode (not NAV)
To change altitude on A/P, select ATT (attitude) mode and use the pitch wheel to set a V/S rate. For this I use the mouse wheel but whatever works to move the pitch wheel on your set-up. Then return to ALT to hold the new altitude.
