In MSFS 2020, we could see the actual live weather cloud coverage over the world map. It was very convenient to choose a place to fly based on weather condition.

Funny how you can see the clouds in the main menu, but not in the World Map. Cool early access game.
Applying proper filters, clouds are displayed (SU1):
But those filters are lost between sessions, see related wish: Save World Map Filters
I don’t know why on OP screenshot clouds are not displayed, seems they have the correct filters in place and Live Weather activated to show them.
Did another test and under certains conditions (don’t know which ones) filters do not work:
To make the filters work again, I had to go to flight conditions, select custom weather and select back Live weather, then go back to the world map:
