Adelaide CBD is Red and Melted and the Kangaroo Island Pyramid is Back!

Pretty frustrated that this is the case again with Adelaide, the CBD again has that red hue and the KI pyramid is back, and is also melted looking. I’m confused how this can even be the case, isn’t the sim supposed to be a whole new ball game, with a new engine, maps and photogammmetry? The roads around the suburbs look like they have been dug up and are blurry, the landscape is blocky in areas and it’s just worse than 2020. I am hoping that most of it is server related and the fact that I am trying before buying on game pass.

The Kangaroo Island pyramid never went away*:

The Adelaide red wash never went away:

These bug are still logged, and MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 share the same world, as far as I’m aware.

You may wish to vote for the Kangaroo Island bug report. I have.

* For some reason, an earlier version of the Kangaroo Island bug report was resolved. I don’t know why. To my knowledge, it was never fixed.

It actually did for a while and then came back randomly, but disappeared further away than before. I base myself out of YPPF and it was definitely changed for the better.

Sorry to hear that it regressed at some point. But yeah, hasn’t been fixed (or re-fixed).

A while back, a developer stream question was asked in which someone said something to the effect of, “Why is the development team allowing regressions to survive more than one update cycle?” to which the team responded with, “Are we? Can you give some examples?”

That question wasn’t mine, but in the next developer stream, I flooded them with regression examples from the forums and asked them for a follow-up. So many examples that I ran out of space on the question form. One of those regressions was the terrain spike in Kangaroo Island. Unfortunately, they did not answer my question.

I know one of the regulars here RagingWombat839 ended up going from Xbox to PC and came up with a free PC fix. It’s frustrating that so many minor things stay the same or regress after updates among other frustrations.

I did a flight over KI the other day and it was gone, however I was flying last night over the YP and could see the pyramid off in the distance again. I do kinda like the KI pyramid though. Heaps of rural towns in SA seem to have had their asphalt roads replaced with dirt roads in 2024, as well as a lot of tree colours aren’t as accurate compared to 2024.

Is this the invisible island off the coast that doesn’t exist but it’s there?

It looks like a big shark fin and is in the correct location imo :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
