Can anyone give an update on this aircraft? Has it been earmarked for an Asobo-Legends release?
I’m going to guess that the Lancaster would not be suitable for an official Asobo release due to all the guns that would be visible. It would look pretty strange without them.
They did the Saab B17 without guns, so I think that wouldn’t hold them back, but I still think you’re probably right. I don’t really see it happening.
I’m guessing they committed their resources elsewhere when the Asobo/MSFS money truck backed up to their loading dock with orders for other aircraft - like the delayed for improvement B707. I have the P3D Lancaster and there were non-working knobs needed for start-up, etc.
Man, I would love to see that money truck…
Apparently it’s just come out of beta and will be released soon, according to the Facebook page
Aeroplane Heaven really upped their game lately. Hopefully Echo 19 is involved again, for those sweet engine sounds.
Intakes should be square
I’ve always loved the Lancaster, Also love the 707. If they ever fix the 707, maybe I’ll buy their Lanc.
It depends not only on the mark/variant, but who built the specific aircraft since they were manufactured by numerous companies. Some of them even varied how the carb intakes looked within a single batch.
The picture looks fairly consistant with the air worthy PA474 based at Conningsby tbh.
The manual is online now

I see from the manual you can recreate Chastise. I imagine there will be a host of Lancs over the Ruhr valley in the first week of release. Let’s hope it releases in a decent state.
EDIT: Looks like its available now from their site, $35USD
The option to purchase is shown on their website but is disabled if you try it.
Edit-now released
From the manual., page 3:
“Sounds Echo 19” ![]()
It’s out on the AH site. And apparently making its way through the Marketplace pipeline.
