Might hang on a bit and see what they are doing (If at all!) for 2024?
Be interested to find out how it flies in 24 if somebody tries it.

Poorly worded. What it means is:
AH confirmed on their FB page it flies fine in ā24. Just doesnāt use ā24 features.āNativeā is the key word.
Does it mention any plans to bring a native 24 model out?
Thanks for the clarification. I took it to read that if thereās problems with 2024ā¦tough. They need to be a bit more explicit on their website about what support will be offered as just reading their compatibility statement put me off.
Just looked on the Orbx site ā¦they are saying 2020 and 2024 ![]()
On the JF site now ā¦and a bit cheaper there if you are UK based!
Ā£22.99 on JF, thatās not a bad price at all if everything is OK.
Belter! How does it fly, how are systems?
Twotonemurphy is / has just done a livestream flight in it.
Looks and sounds very very good!
Everything is on point - highly recommended
Does anyone else thinks the moddeling and texturing isnĀ“t as good as one would today expect. It looks low res and has that typical āgame lookā for me. But that is just my personal taste. And I have the addon, so I am not just talking about looks in videos.
Besides that my first impression is honestly better than I expected.
For around £20 I think its pretty good value, if they were asking £40 or £50 then perhaps I would agree.
One thing about these bigger aircraft is they look amazing in VR. Walking around them and checking them out is pretty cool. Then comes the flying. ![]()
Think its $35,which is nearer £25
Iāve just bought it, so can comment from personal experience. I agree that I thought it would look slightly better as a release in 2025, that said it cost me Ā£22.99 so in those terms I donāt think itās too bad. Overall, it does look very nice but the bar gets raised and we sort of expect all devs to reach that, perhaps unfairly.
Very quick first flight in 2024, I think it handles very nicely (speaking as a non-pilot), quite ponderous which youād expect. I did have to reduce the elevator axis to 0.5 as itās too sensitive. There also seems to be a glitch with the yoke where it ājumpsā a bit without input from me. That could be something on my end though and Iāll check for conflicts later.
First impressions are positive bearing in mind the price point.
Iām not sure - I never quite trust this developer. They always have a bit of an āattitudeā in their communications, often dismissive or downright rude. They donāt appear to respond well to customer feedback. They also donāt have the best track record, in my book. The 707 is deeply flawed, and was never fixed, not even updated. The DC-3 was only really decent after the Duckworks mod.
You can argue (as they did) well, the 707 (for instance) was a Microsoft contracted product, and wash your hands of it. But I can list several developers that have also created various assets for Microsoft and have NOT immediately disavowed them.
I donāt know, each to his own I guess. For those that get the Lancaster, I hope itās good.
JF selling it for £22.99 (and I had some points to redeem
)
I am not complaining per se, since the pricepoint matches the quality. I just wanted to know if I might be the only one that would just expect higher visuals today.
Regarding Elevator Axis - I have the opposite experience like you (also in 2024). I find the elevator axis not to twitchy, which is rare in 2020 addons used in 2024. I find it very decent.
Can anyone advise whether it would follow a FP on autopilot (if it has one)?
Regarding the elevator axis, I suppose it depends on your hardware (Iām using HC Alpha) and existing profile. I tried it with my normal linear axis but decided to tone it down to match more the feel that I get from the aileron axis. No idea if thatās correct, but it works for me.
BTW, the glitching I noticed on the yoke was indeed due to a conflict, my blank profile for my joystick was no longer blank for some reason. All good now.
