If y’all find issues with AH or any third party planes, please report them directly to the publisher in addition to posting them here. MS has been saying over and over again for over 5 years that the forums are not allowed to be a channel for support or bug reports.
I am still working on trying to figure out the exhaust carbon buildup at the wing roots so don’t mind the look in the screenshots. as of yesterday there is a new updated version to 1.1.2 and the textures have been improved on the outboard sections at the wing roots. The inboard sections still need some improvement but I will be going back to the original textures for the time being. Just thought I would share a couple of screenshots of the AH B-25J and the AH P-51D which look great together. All of these aircraft served with the RCAF at the Trenton, Ontario Air Armament School during the early 1950s. I am really liking the frequent updates.
Just spreading the word, this is from AH’s FB page:
Help desk guy here.
We have decided to temporarily drop the ability to buy from our store from the website. Dont worry we arent going anywhere!
Please read on for a little more information.
I have been receiving a number of emails regarding an inability to download the B25 mitchell from our store but also from other stores ( even MS ) as well.
Unfortunately we are unable to make any changes or fixes to any third party store including sellfy our ecommerce partner. What we have been doing is collating the emails and sending it through to the ecommerce company so when they get back to work on monday ( dont ask how I feel about a company with no support on a weekend ! ) they will have a list of who has the problems.
We are going to send out to all current purchasers of the B-25 via the store an email with a direct link to our site to v1.1.2 of the B25 shortly. If you have managed to download V1.1.2 normally then you can ignore. Please make sure you have allowed sellfy based emails through. This file is the latest version and will be available until this situation is rectified. There will be instructions on what is going on in that email too.
This also means a planned update for this week for the B25 ( V1.1.3 ) will not be happening until this problem is fixed.
Simply put we want you to have the product you purchased. Unfortunately the issue is not something we have control over or able to fix. The issue and fix lies with the stores themselves.
Thanks for your patience and understanding. The fellas and fella-ettes that have been contacting us have been super understanding.
And the propeller hub is working as designed. That’s a feature of AH products, their way of how to animate propellers (which actually isn’t easy, there’s reality, and then there’s customers perception often based on video, which… well)
You’re going to make a lot of people very happy with that repaint, Jankees!
(Just a note) I’ve noticed all of the bare metal paint schemes so-far are missing the Olive Drab/Green-painted glare shields on the fuselage-facing sides of the cowlings.
JanKees should get commission checks from aircraft developers and MSFS because of the sales and promotional value he generates and I ain’t kidding around
Mmmmh, update on the antiglare panels John mentioned: turns out the cowlflaps have mirrored textures… and the exhaust stubs are a nightmare to find. I hope you’re not in a hurry…
might be worth an email to AH to see if they can help - maybe an update is faster than playing hokey pokey with the texture sheets or whatever they’re called..
I still have the detailed manual of the B-25J Mitchell released by MAAM for FS9 and they describe the working of the Carb. Heat Levers: LEVER UP is HEAT OFF and LEVER DOWN is HEAT ON.
I can distinctly remember when doing repaints for the MAAM B-25 (back in the day), that the fuselage-facing sides of the cowlings were mapped to the same textures as the outer-facing sides, which made it impossible for any bare metal paint schemes to have properly-applied cowling glare shields on that one. Without having had a look at it, I thought maybe the AH B-25 would allow for it.
Anyone who has the Aeroplane Heaven B-25J or who has talked to AH, have they or are they planning on correcting the position of the nose gear, by chance? In all of the screenshots I’ve seen to-date, when looking head-on, the nose gear on the AH B-25 is positioned well to the starboard side of the center line, where as it should be dead-center with the center line of the aircraft. It may be too much work, as the location of the gear well and gear doors would also need redoing.
Thanks for the clarification! What I was referring to was that once you moved the lever, it would be permanently stuck in the furthest position forward. But they’ve patched that so it’s working properly now
At the beginning, the supercharger levers were down, cloud be unlocked and moved upwards as they are now (see picture). Then I could not notice any influence. 3 updates ago, these levers were standing totally upwards and you could click on then to move from LOW to HIGH. The levers don’t move and still I do not notice any influence. No increase in RPM etc.
As you alluded to earlier, there are a number of things that need to be fixed/corrected. The biggest to me is the shape/width of the fuselage which screws up the nose and the engine cowls. With the easy access to good online reference there really isn’t any excuse now, and not to mention some FS9 type texturing.
Awesome!! This is the one I was talking about earlier on in this thread. Panchito is based out of KGED which is a quick hop from my home airport. If flies regularly and you can pay to be a passenger on 1/2 hour flights! It’s incredible. Great paint! I am going to grab this one for sure (and maybe show the guys who run this a quick video of the MSFS version of their aircraft! )
