Aerosoft A330

“Also, is Inibuilds a large team? They seem to just pump out addons like a machine.”

I really don’t know, that is what I was thinking also. In relatevly short period of time, they made 3 high fidelity addons.

Ooooh I fortgot about that half milionish €uropean from German government.
Well, when are at that half milion, I would know for sure if Aerosoft is in Bosnia (where I live), but in Germany, I don’t think so they can take money and do nothing without penality from government. Because in Bosnia (highly corrupted country), companies close to people in government, take money from government for project, some of that project are made, but what is made worth 10% from received money. Or they aren’t finished never, but money is already taken.

I have so many questions, but they all start with, “why?”

I wonder what German tax payers think about this.

i dont know what all german taxpayers think, i know only what i think on this :skull: :skull: :skull:!
the Gov wants to make the german gaming industry stronger. unfortuntaely they cannot distinguish between msfs and GTA or bus driving simulation.

seriously, for aerosoft what shall they do, besides the govt money. put the work of 1-2 years in the trash bin ? the MS ini A330 only got announced recently.

iniBuilds are one of the biggest flightsim addon developers, if not the biggest.

I suppose if it’s a grant they got, absolutely nothing. Assuming grants work the same way as they do in the UK.

Weren’t they receiving a subsidy for it though, by the German state?

Who needs happy customers when you’re solid on taxpayer dimes.

Edit: Oh sorry Pacy, didn’t see your reply there.

About one and a half cents per head spread over two years … I can just feel the outrage

First Look in the sim! Wow!

Just really irks me how bad the wheel contact model is in 2020. I hope it gets addressed in 2024 and support more than one wheel for larger bogey aircraft.

Sigh. The only thing they are worried about in the YT comments are the tires. How about worry how it flies and how well the systems are modelled? Id argue thats more important than the tyre resolution.

Is that video supposed to be an advertisement? Half the textures are super low res, the tyres aren’t round, half the pipes etc. on the wheels look like straight out of the 90s.

The only thing that looked good was the EFB, I don’t expecte Fenix level, but again I really don’t like the inibuilds EFBs so as long as it’s better than that it’s a plus.

I mean I don’t even really care for visual detail, but they chose to start their discover A330 with a focus on the model. And then they present this? After two years (or more) this is what they want everyone’s first impression to be?

They also didn’t even show a cabin, even PMDG have cabins nowadays.

I don’t know guys, at the end of the day I only care about system depth, like I never even leave the cockpit in the fenix, so I’ll hold judgement until that is reviewed, but my expectations are somewhere between the default A320 and the inibuilds A320, aka meh all around.

Pretty nice overall, but the external model is very polygonal. You can see the hard edges everywhere, not only on the wheels but on all the curves, the engine and the fuselage as well. The interior looks better but it’s too clean, too homogenic and the materials look fake somehow. As if it was modeled from an actual simulator room rather than a real aircraft.

Also, the iniBuilds A330 will be included in FS24 by default so I see little potential in this one. I’d say it’s too little, too late. The neo may have potential and of course to those who don’t buy FS24.

At this point the whole project is a meme, they were “almost ready” about 2 years ago, they got funds by the German goverment and now they release this video?

The modeling was probably done by the same team that created the Twin Otter with squared wheels.

I must admit it is fun to follow how this fails specially considering they were given funds while other dev teams must work with their own money and risk and produce much better results.

Though to be fair, the Government grant is for A321NEO and A330NEO, not A330CEO.

I was the one who brings up the tires on the YT. Because I am not worried about the plane at all since ı gave up on aerosoft after buying twin otter. Most likely ı will be using msfs24’s default 330

Wheels have improved a lot, the Twin Otter had squared wheels and this A330 has octogonal wheels, a lot of progress!

I don’t trust in Aerosoft too much, they have disappointed me a lot in the past, and they won’t do it again. Lately, their products are rubbish.

Looks fine to me. And won’t the a330 be included by default in fs2024? So it’s a moot point to debate if one is getting it or not Unless I’m mistaken.

No the included one wont be the areosoft

The A330 looks like an FSX port. Low polygon landing gear and some other parts. I won’t buy it. Aerotrash…

Who is making the included one?
