AI screenshots again in MScenery Marketplace release

Steam has a fantastic refund policy for games and they rack in the cash.

But I’m sure some MS person “invented” rentals and has a KPI revenue goal they want to make to get a decent rating on their annual Connect, so I can’t see them instituting a policy that would cut that one-day rental revenue.

I think that’s probably true too. They’ll stick with it as long as the legally can and as long as they have a monopoly on flight simulation. Yes, I know there’s a couple others, but they’re not serious competition.

did it finally happen? Mscenery nowhere to be seen in the ‘top rated’ category for me anymore. Can anyone else verify?

even better, searching for mscenery in the full catalogue only gives 27 results now

They finally did something ?

I think you caught them in mid-delete. MScenery is no longer showing in the filters, and searching for them only brings up DreamScenery stuff.

These guys are still there, and now apparently own the market for bad 3D model repurposing, AI screenshots, and inflated review scores!

Be interesting to see if MScenery reappears with reset reviews and more accurate detail pages.

the remaining 27 are gone too now? The day just keeps getting better.

watch that become the most liked post on the forums ever :smiley:

I am really grateful to MS for finally listening and taking action. I just hope MScenery does not re-emerge under a different name now!

Score 1 for the good guys, im glad to finally see that junk off the marketplace :grin:

I bet they will come back with alt names, they have already tried too with that B731

Can’t say I’m sorry to see them go. But I’d like to see the look on their face when they saw the notice!

Do you have proof (or even legitimate evidence) that this was Mscenery?

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

he finally got banned

Let them.

Now standards are set and consequences are clear.

If they try the same under new name, they won’t last long - or probably not even let in, as the MP Team knows the name behind it as someone has to sign the contract.

But if they learned and either improve their products or give proper descriptions - eg. “Fun to fly realistic looking models in arcade style” without tampering with reviews and ratings, there is nothing wrong with them being there. Just stop misleading.

Wow, good job Microsoft, at first I was not excepting them to be totally “banned” from MP, but the false reviews combined to AI screenshots were the icing on the cake since too much time ! Thanks you

I agree, just as long as they don’t flood the MP with hundreds of their products again!

Exact same product, exact same screenshots,

exact same product descriptions;

exact same lack of ANY internal screesnhots;

exact same scammed ratings;

I know you like to argue for arguments sake, but if it looks like a fish, smells like a fish, rots like a fish in sunlight on a hot day, it’s a fish.

Good riddance
