Airbus A310-300

Seems coincidental with brake overheat situation, I’ve seen it maybe three times now. I can usually exit runway when the brakes aren’t overheated. I’m not doing autolands, and AP is turned off on short final.
I can jump out to external view and observe that the nose wheel just doesn’t budge much, maybe 1/10 of normal range (or less).

Another successful RNAV approach and landing. Just wish a binding solution would be added to the AP disconnect, instead of leaving everything to push that red button on the yoke.

I’ve got “autopilot off” mapped to the Q key. Press it once - autopilot off. Twice - cancels the alarm.

I’ll try autopilot OFF because pushing “toggle autopilot master” twice doesn’t seem to turn off the sound on landing.

Any thoughts on my issue (see post #1940 above) – veering off course at the final approach fix?

Anytime something like this happens, i blame a culprit in the “assistance menu”. Do you have everything on “HARD” in “piloting”?

Yes, all assists are deactive.

Sure would like to be able to post that I’m also having successful non-precision overlay approaches!

And yes, as CptPiett8113 suggested, using autopilot off will fix the button issue (I did the same with my Honeycomb Alpha).

Yeah no idea, i fly ILS and RNAV approaches with my airliners mostly. Create a ticket on their discord support channel.

What’s your route again? let me try it. What’s the approach you’re using?

The last one I tried was the exact approach used in the inibuilds video:

LFBO VOR RWY 32R

Everything was fine until the fix at 8 DME where the plane suddenly turned off-course to the right.

This approach is denoted VDM32R in the FMC.

is your nose steering turned on in the efb page ?
a/p still engaged / autoland ?

I’ll double check but I presume it is as the A310 nose steers fine taxiing from gate and usually is ok taxiing off the runway when I don’t have a brake warning.

It’s reminding me a bit of the 737 overheated baking. Which simulates it by tyre/brake malfunction which you then have to go ‘repair’ to get them to stop sticking on, which can be annoying.

In the case of the A310 it seems like the nose steering jams up (are brakes even located in the nose wheel?). This happens most frequently before I can exit the runway.
I will check that setting in the EFB tough. When in this condition, the rudder is moving with my Z-Axis just not the nose wheel until it exits this stuck behaviour. (which I can do by going in and out of slew mode it would seem).

AP is disengaged at 300ft and I’m not using autoland.

No need actually: default is ‘R’ & ‘+’ increases the sim rate, ‘R’ & ‘-’ decreases it.

Yeah, I was away for a week. LITTLE hope the A310 would be addressed on my Series X, an update perhaps.

I just can’t fly this, erratic throttle (either I can or cannot…but when I can give it power, it wont power down). Just massive control issues. :disappointed:

It’s not a default binding on my system, but I saw that that was an option. Also, simrate isn’t displayed anywhere but you can tell by looking at the clock/chrono.
I was using 4x this morning, but turbulence can have quite an impact, had to keep going down to 2x for a while because of its destabilising effect at higher sim rates.

What set-up are you using? I’ve been flying the A310 on an Xbox Series X with a controller(edit: and mouse) with zero problems. Set up a special sensitivity profile for it, nothing else special…

Wow kinda crazy… sorry you’re having issues with that, I have not anything like that happen. one time I forgot to turn on the steering in the EFB. I hope you can get it resolved

Personal Comments

I found a “Test” button next to the transponder. Curios, I pressed it. Nothing happened. I thought it was an Inop button and continued on with my flight. Then I heard “Climb, Climb” and “ descend, Crossing, descend,” I thought I was being escorted by a jet! But nope! I realized later after pressing the test button once again I heard those noises-that was what the test was.

This plane is really cool!

Hello everyone and @EllsGaming,

I found a bug in RNP-Approach (tried it two times).

I fly to LOWI and prefered to use RNP-Z 08 Approach. It display a 3° Descend instead a 3,6° Descent and that is not correct. Can someone check this? I am not in the Beta Version.

I flew the Descent manualy and the Landing was great and funny.

Greeting,
Sascha.

Thank You for Your Help Wobs 421

It Worked I added the Feul to the Plane

Thanks
