Hello! This addon has done an amazing job for me, just want to say a big thanks to you!
I also have a question regarding using a custom livery as wingman. Basically I created several livery for various aircraft, but I found that non of them were recognized by the tool. So far iāve tried to do scanning for both aircraft types and liveries, as well as load the new livery into the sim - open AAS panel - wait for the new AC to be initialized. But non of those worked for me. Is there a possible solution to this issue?

Iām in awe at this mod but was wondering how I can add aircraft that the initial scan wonāt recognise - for example the Skysimulations DC-9, plus some liveries just are not recognised either. Is there someing I can edit in a CFG or somrthing to force the A. Assistant to utilise said aircraft?

I donāt know if anyone will see this, but I have a problem with airshow assistant in fs20204. When I try to scan the airplanes folder for the wingmen, the sim always freezes at 73%. Does anyone know a fix for this, and if the devs ever see this, it would be nice if there was a way to choose specific aircraft without the need to scan the entire airplane folder. Thanks.

Iāve been having the same issue. Seems to happen if Iāve downloaded any FS2024 Marketplace planes.
Even when it doesnāt happen (deleted the downloads), Airshow Assistant is weird about which planes it will show and which ones it wonāt. It doesnāt show my Carenado PA-34 and PA-44, for instance.
Actually, even after deleting the downloaded planes (FS2024 SU3 Beta), Iām still getting the freeze at 73% on an aircraft folder scan.
Thanks for the report. Iāve tried to do it myself and it worked properly - I was able to finish scan successfully. Are you also on SU3 BETA like @Editer or yours is a stable version?
And is it PC or Xbox? So we can create accurate testing conditions to detect this issue.
Thanks for the quick reply. Iām using the steam version of the aviator edition and Iām on the SU2 stable release. Iāve done a bit of testing and disabled all the addons in the community folder and I also disabled the planes that Iāve purchased through the market place, but to no avail. Airshow assistant still freezes the sim at 73% and I have to use task manager to shut it down. What is interesting is that if I load a plane in to fly, and then scan its folder for more liveries it works perfectly and it then stays in the list of available aircraft thereafter. I might have to go through the whole list one at a time to see which one is causing a problem. That should keep me busy for a while 
It isnāt a big deal, as I still love using the program, and if I want to add a new plane to my formation, I just load it in and scan the folder so I can use it with other aircraft.

I just had a thought, I moved the packages folder from the c to the d drive, I donāt know if that would make a difference.
Just to clarify, Iām on the PC MS Store version, SU3 beta.
Ooh, hadnāt thought about that as a workaround. Looks like that works, at least for the current session!
Thanks to Airshow Assistant I was able to get these fun screenshots! Being able to toggle the smoke off for certain wingmen was very useful. It mostly seems to work pretty nicely in MSFS 2024, despite being listed as āIncompatibleā in the Marketplace; although like one of the posts above I wasnāt able to find all liveries or all aircraft; but fortunately got what I needed for these shots!
Plus I tried some AAR the other day - oh boy that is HARD but was pretty rewarding when I eventually got it right.

After seeing the Aerial Refueling update pop up, I decided to try to scan installed planes again in Airshow Assistant under FS2024 SU3 beta.
Now it locks the entire sim up at 67%. 
I will add model or livery label to the scan process information (both for models and liveries scan), so at least we will know which aircraft cause it. then Iāll try to fix it, if not possible - just remove this aircraft from the list.

New update does not use all of the FS24 benefits yet - will take some time to rewrite wingmen liveries scan process, adjust AI aircraft turbulence strength, add collision detection with wingmen/tanker etc.. But you can use helicopters as wingmen already, even if some visual issues wasnāt sorted yet.

Sounds good. One question: exactly how should AAR Movie mode work? I tried it last night with the Vulcan but nothing happened. I was expecting it to take control of my aircraft - was I doing something wrong or is this not supported in 2024?
Itās not that one in my case. 
Donāt own the PMDG and deleted the Captain Sim bird years ago. Happens even if I only enable the planes that I want to fly/formation in Addons Linker, though I suppose it could be a Marketplace/stock plane. Though itās odd I was hitting it at the same percentage as at least one other poster.

Iāve had a problem with missing gauges in the Vulcan. I spent the afternoon with JF support and we hadnāt resolved it by the time they knocked off for the weekend.
Iāve had a blank community folder with just the vulcan in and it would load once OK as long as all caches had been cleared and then subsequent flights, it would corrupt again.
I then went through disabling addons from My Library one at a time, and once AA had been disabled, the vulcan loaded fine.
Interesting. I saw this a couple of times but only after Iād been switching liveries of the Vulcan several times in the livery chooser page before a flight. As well as black gauges did you also get a weird over exposed lighting effect on the sky? I didnāt think about the cause, and canāt be certain if Airshow Assistant was loaded in those sessions but itās very likely it was.
I needed to restart the sim to clear it. And if Airshow Assistant was loaded when the problem occurred then it would still have been after restarting the sim since I didnāt change any Addons. Only seen it on the Vulcan.
Yes, I did have the overexposure too. It wasnāt triggered by changing liveries though, as I was just going with the same one every time.
Just restarting the SIM had no effect. As I mentioned, I was going through stuff with JF which entailed multiple uninstalls, reinstalls, restarts etc. and an empty community folder.
I wouldnāt like to say itās 100% AA, but thatās the only add-on I have disabled now in my community folder and my library (excepting those that have never been enabled).
Love this tool. Finally we can do formations in helicopters.
