The speed at which they make the plane add-ons for Karenado is amazing; it would be even better if they fixed the bugs in the existing planes more quicklyâŠ

Are there any Carenado offerings that meet your hopeful expectations? Carenado is Carenado. The reason they pump them out so fast is they have a system that works for them that they donât stray from, as we have seen now for the last 25 years or so years.

This is a Carenado aircraft that we have always seen. Donât have too high expectations. Regarding the bug I mentioned before, it has been over 10 months since B55 was released, and Iâve left the bug I requested back then unfixed.
But one good thing is that the aircraft textures developed by this company are really top-notch.
I canât deny that.
Yes, we live in hope they get a little more systems depth in the future. Indeed, I have another âhopeâ too

Iâve said several times that I believe Carenado is top heavy in their modelling and art team. That is obviously their background. When it comes to bugs itâs rarely those things so the limited resource or knowledge they have in the other areas is frequently found wanting. Updates are a well known and particular weakness possibly because of the reasons I outlined above.
I know itâs not exactly fair to pre-judge it given that itâs not even released yet, but to fair we do have quite a bit of past experience.
My main concern is this will put off another developer making a higher fidelity version.
We do have examples of other developers releasing higher quality versions of Carenado aircraft. The JF pipers for example. The PC-12. Perhaps others?

The Problem with the Do228 is, its a turbo prop. Carenado cant do turboprobs or turbocharged aircraft very well.
So expect something like ther B200.
If you like that, you will probably be ok with the DO. If not, then not.
Technically I think what you really mean is Asobo still hasnât improved their default Turboprop simulation to top notch simulation expectations (or perhaps even mediocre expectations). Carenado basically just uses the SDK. So if the Asobo SDK isnât exactly your cup of tea, then that Carenado aircraft wonât be either. Theyâre definitely not known for their system programming.
Also itâs insanely time intensive (and therefore cost intensive) to build and test simulation systems. Theyâd have to charge Black Square prices for Black Square quality.
Willingly. I would much rather have fewer high quality planes, that a boatload of forgettable ones.
I enjoy my Carenado 210 and P28 a lot, and will continue to do so

I like my JF arrows too and the BSQ 35 and wish they had the image quality of the Carenados
Carenado gets a lot of underserving stick. Years ago some of this criticism was valid, but they have vastly improved their initial release quality and updates to recognized issues.
They understand what the sim is capable of (and more importantly, not) and craft well modeled and flyable aviation experiences that fit the technology constraints rather than shoot for the moon with features that mostly fail to deliver or are really unnecessary. And they do it at a good price, delivering what I would call a sweet spot product experience.
I have a handful of their planes that deliver a virtual aviation experience I put in the same basket as IndiaFoxTecho, Flying Iron, Milviz, GotFriends and even a couple of the latest Aeroplane Heaven (B25, Mosquito). Some of the more well hyped much more expensive planes sit in my hanger due to the numerous issues from overly complex systems and flight models that just donât work well and end up being frustrating, not fun (and rarely ârealisticâ either), and as a result I wonât buy their products anymore because of this.
Thatâs not a reflection of difficulty in learning a technique either, as many of the ones I mention above have unique flight characteristics that demand a little attention in different flight phases.
I think Carenado aircraft offer decent visuals for the price.
If youâre looking for a more in-depth system, itâs better to buy aircraft from other developers.
My only complaint is that I wish theyâd fix bugs a bit quicker when theyâre reported.
Iâve seen users report bugs that were either ignored or never fixed more times than I can count.
To share my experience, I purchased the B55 about 10 months ago and reported a bug to Zendesk.
They replied that they would fix it, but the bug was never addressed, and my report was marked as âsolved.â
I recently reported another bug, and that one was also marked as âsolvedâ without any actual fix.
Despite these issues, thereâs no denying that they are a million times better as a developer than MScenery.
