I haven’t had any major problems on xbox series x, apart from I have to use a mouse at the moment for the efb. I flew a 3600nm flight in the A330 the other day from doha to Iceland with no problems. Just tried the sim with the su2 beta latest update and what a difference with scenery, no melted buildings, trees perfect as I flew over San Francisco.
Having looked into my settings, they are indeed tripling what you have displayed yet I’m getting a worse experience and with no clue as to why
2024 has been a joke on my Series X. Every aspect of the game is a step down from 2020. It’s clear why 2020’s Xbox release was delayed a year past PC. As it stands now, it’ll probably be another two years before this ripoff is capable of running at 30 fps.
It’s absolutely mint on my series x with the new build. I’m sure a lot of it is what time of day it is, though I just did a four hour flight from Sweden to the isle of man in the vision jets and it was flawless, awesome scenery from departure to arrival
All those wows about fs24 on xbox make me suspect there is huge gap between my sensoric fps acceptable minimum and sensoric needs of others… I never ever experienced decent performance like 50-60 fps in fs24
It is widely known that Microsoft Flight Simulator’s performance varies a LOT depending on how complex and efficient are:
-the airplane you use;
-the airports you fly from/into;
-scenery, POIs and photogrammetry;
-if you use add-ons for other things, like custom lights and weather;
-internet connection;
-the time when the sim is used, as there could be more or less players online, affecting streaming performance;
ALL of those factors affect 2020 and 2024 alike.
Oh, and if in your simming ANY of these factors are not equal or similar to other users reporting better performance, I’m afraid your little humblebrag is unfounded.
Just for some context, I’m on Series S, fly pretty much only airliners (ini Airbus, PMDG 737) around relatively large metro areas with PG on, but rarely in the US or the DACH area, the two regions with the most lavish treatment.
SU 4.18 is not as good as 4.17 in my system, but it is far superior to 2020 in comparable flights. Has your experience been very different?
Thought I was the only disgruntaled MSFS 2020 and now 2024 XBox user! Ready to junk all it.
