I’m also fed up with the lack of useable views on Xbox. No flyby, no picture in picture, finicky glitches and can’t even move through the whole plane to set views. I want a cabin window on airbus, i can use fixed views but that comes with it’s own issues. But have to exploit a glitch or slowly walk through the plane to save a custom camera like…what?
Well it does because it’s not as enjoyable.
I wanna be able to fly an Airbus and press a button to see out the cabin window as a passenger upon landing.
In 2020 i had to exploit a glitch to do this.
In 2024 you can’t easily bind the showcase fixed camera as it only gives you 10 options, and fixed camera 12 isn’t listed, it’s fixed camera 0-10. So i have to bind a button to get to showcase, then to fixed cameras, then cycle through. Then when i press the “cockpit/external” keybind, it takes me back to cockpit but it’s faffed the view up, so when i press reset, it takes me out to external??? You’re telling me something this simple should be so difficult?
Well that’s you. A lot of people like outside views.
And you can. There are 10 custom camera views that you can assign and load and thanks to being able to move through the cabin on 24, you can position them in a way that you can see out passenger windows. I do this with pretty much every flight on 24 with no issues just by having a keyboard so that I have enough buttons available
I love an outside view, just not too many
You can’t do it in all aircraft. A400m for example you can’t walk down the stairs.
Like what? I have no clue what you’re referring too.
Nor me. It may be the wiper highlighted. Oh it’s the brace tube
who knows knows.
I’m on xbox though. This doesn’t help.
The process is EXACTLY THE SAME for xbox and pc.
Ive used xbox since 2021 it worked for me
No, it’s not the same on PC and Xbox. This is a confirmed bug, which you can read more about in this thread:
You absolutely can get down the stairs in the A400M. Can be a little bit tricky, seems the hitbox is bigger than it looks, but you definitely can get down there, to assign easily accessible custom camera views.
I was talking about setting cameras
Then I misunderstood, I thought it was a response to this post.
My apologies.
So, I’ll give another opinion.
I play FS2024 on Xbox Series X on a 55" OLED TV, and believe it or not, I think it’s absolutely fabulous.
I don’t have many planes. I mainly fly VFR.
I’ve also started the career mode, and frankly, everything’s going well!
However, reading your comments, I realize my usage is more limited. I fly small planes in cockpit view, and that’s about it. ![]()
Please don’t take offense at me for saying this. I don’t think I have any problems because I do much less than you. But I thought it was worth mentioning.
Yeah, I play on a 55 in TV and I think it’s amazing. I fly everything on it, from single props to the biggest airliners. I bought premium deluxe and I’m about 10 aircraft away from trying them all out, haven’t touched any helicopters yet. I’m in the Saab 340 at the moment and loving it. I’ve had no major problems with most of them.
I have all my custom cameras setup in the keyboards numpad in an orientation looking down on the aircraft.
So numbers 1 4 7 and 0 are left cabin windows front to aft
3 6 9 right cabin windows front to aft
2 nose, 5 undercarriage, 8 top of tail
PS if you can’t walk into the cabin you need to use the co pilot camera glitch to get outside the cockpit then work your way down the sides of the fuselage just tucking into the windows or outside if you don’t like the window tints and markings.
Tried multiple times so that’s weird. Fixed views offer better graphics too but that’s a long way off until they give us this simple thing.
This is the issue. 6 years on and we need glitches to get views. It’s so ■■■■ stupid. And they could fix it tomorrow! They just don’t see it as an issue. Console users left behind. So many issues, should be called Microsoft ■■■■■ Simulator. I’ve spent a lot on this game,.tempted to send Asobo a letter before action (uk court) at this point.
