I have no idea how they pick what to work on — probably a lot of variables in the prioritization algorithm. At the moment, this particular simmer is hoping the control bindings make the cut. ![]()
I would certainly agree with you on that ![]()
One updated product for FS2024.
Yet updates done months ago for compatibility for planes like the Blackbox Shorts 330/360 still haven’t been released. KSC scenery I bought under 2020 nowhere to be seen. But hey, at least we got the colored flashlights.
“ Almost all of your addons will work day one “ - Jorg Neuman .. Nuff said about what has happened . Bad for the developers and bad business all together. Get it straightened out fellows .
not good enough. If they can’t contact the people who can give a real answer, that’s a problem in and of itself.
I would appreciate a real answer as to why a ton of junk is already in the marketplace, but my JustFlight and SWS planes are well past the compatibility update version in 2020, but a nearly year old release version 2024. That’s ******** and everyone knows it. I don’t see why the MSFS team feels the need to make things ‘fair’ for developers that produce low effort and ridiculously high volume content that makes it past being straight up spam by a millimeter.
Use some judgement, it’s your proprietary marketplace. You don’t have to be the first in first out definition of fair. Pay attention to both what people actually buy, and what 3rd party items are actually value-adding to the platform.
Any good reason why the 2024 Market Place releases don’t show the developer? As far as I’m concerned the current format makes the weekly release worthless. The 2020 format works well. Why has it been changed?
That would require curation and actual moderation, which MS has said they won’t do. Probably because they don’t want to pay for the staff to do the job.
And alot of the comments here are now about this as an issue we are getting fustrated and I believe rightly so about it
We can all see that help is required, we all want the Sim to work but we don’t want to wait a year for updates to marketplace stuff
If it makes money and we pay for it as a consumer we are asking why more effort isn’t being put in to make us happy with it
Hello @CD0139,
We have already shared this feedback internally with the Marketplace team. They understand the concern and will look into making the requested change, but we have no timeline on when this might occur.
Thanks,
MSFS Team
Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated.
Thank you for getting back to us and letting us know it’s lodged with the team look forward to hearing any updates about it moving forward
this is especially important because there’s a number of planes that have fantastic renditions by top notch developers, and also terrible renditions.
This is just as bad for you as it is for your customers. If someone new to the platform, for example, has seen all kinds of buzz about the PMDG 777, and buys the Captain Sim one by mistake, that’s going to be a huge turnoff to the whole platform. If they still stick with it and they’re on PC, they still won’t buy from the Marketplace ever again.
Microsoft, did you remove mouse acceleration from this latest build? I don’t have it anymore and it feels amazing.
My conversation with the individual via Zendesk is not yet concluded. We have had a few back and forth emails. I believe their work day ended in the midst of it. I’ve been asking a number of questions regarding “priorities” and the make-good (read: getting us our needed updates ASAP) that needs to happen for not actually having the Backwards Compatibility that we were told there would be.
Frankly, I said it feels like someone thinks everything is as it should be and doesn’t realize these updates haven’t been pushed to 2024.
We shall see what else I can learn.
I could’ve swore that it said PC and Xbox earlier as well. It doesn’t now, but I vividly remember seeing it as well.
Well I for one am very happy to see 4R9 come out for FS2024 on X Box because its one of my favorites and one that had gone to ‘not available on your platform’. This is a good sign I think.
Again there is very little new in the Development Update. It now mostly comprises news about the Marketplace.
Although the latest Beta release notes (which were previously released) are referenced, no comment for example about the Controls UI problem introduced by the latest Beta. And why are updates to the Bugs List and Wish List getting more infrequent? Is this Update being deliberately run down, perhaps soon to be renamed “Marketplace Update”, or are they just getting lazy?
I would like to think it’s because they are working so hard on fixing the bugs, but I can’t really see any evidence of this. My sim performance is no better now than it was at launch. In fact, many things seem to be going backwards. Despite being promised at launch that the ATC would be worked on (by Working Title), five months later it is actually getting worse. The TBM930 (previously my plane of choice) is still severely affected by the incorrect internal reflections of the bright ground and poor performance, and is now (following the latest beta) giving horribly distorted views due to exaggerated engine exhaust effects. One step forward, two steps back?
Me too
A lot of problems have to be solved with that aircraft, specially in VR !
Hope will be the case
Where are the updates from the 2024 marketplace? Why are they not deployed at all? To my knowledge, compatible 2020 products are still outdated in 2024. When can we expect 2020 product updates to be available in 2024?
Good to see work continues on the SU2 beta. This so-called Development Update continues to disappoint in key areas. Not sure what the point is of having sections for Feedback Snapshot, SDK Update, and Working Title when they are always empty. Also, I appreciate that our common sense request for seeing the developer listed for FS24 Marketplace products has been passed along. Still waiting for that to be corrected. Further, I am speechless that compatibility updates for FS2020 products specifically made for FS24 have yet to flow down to FS24 versions of said products. You can get a product in FS2020 that has been updated to be more compatible with FS24, but you can’t get the same update in FS24. How does that make sense? This is a big deal and needs to be corrected immediately.
