We should talk about one of the addons released on April 3rd… try to guess which addon it is… hint it could be aircraft…
How is it possible that Asobo allows low-quality or even broken addons to appear on the official MSFS Marketplace? Are these products actually tested before approval, or is anything submitted just blindly accepted as long as it runs? Some addons are clearly misleading—advertising high fidelity or study-level features that aren’t there, which borders on false advertising or even scamming. Isn’t there supposed to be some level of quality control, or at least a minimum standard? Can such products be reported or removed, and do users have any protection like refunds if the addon doesn’t deliver what was promised? The Marketplace is presented as an official and trusted source—shouldn’t that mean someone at Asobo or Microsoft is responsible for vetting what’s sold there? I’m seriously wondering if the review process is just a formality or if it exists at all, because seeing some of the stuff that makes it through really undermines the credibility of the entire platform.
