I am hoping at this event more peripheral manufacturers will exhibit PS5 gear.

Schedule here

I see Meridian are there! Everything still apparently on back order.
MSFS are first thing on Saturday and allegedly this event is being streamed. Don’t know where though.

Will post the link here.

They’ve booked themselves for a 30 minutes slot. i had hoped for more.

30 minutes is crazy considering we have been hearing about all the things they want to divulge (or rather that’s my assumption if you decide to go to one of these).
I hope we get to find out where to watch the stream (or that is what you said you would do - thanks)

Hey, I’m just pleased Asha Sharma still signed off on the travel plans.

Hopefully, they don’t announce MSFS 28, lol. I’m finally getting this one to run smooth and starting to enjoy myself.

That’s too big an announcement for a hobbyist con, 24 was first shown at their yearly Xbox Showcase during Summer Games Fest
Even then it may be a year too early in the cycle assuming another release as late as possible

From the weekly blog

Next week the MSFS team will be in Lelystad, Netherlands for the FlightSim Weekend event! This will be our first time attending a dedicated flight sim community event in Europe, and we’re excited to meet many of you in person! If you’ll be attending FSWeekend, be sure to stop by the MSFS booth to meet members of the team and try your hand at various in-sim flying challenges for your chance to win some great prizes! We hope to see many of you there! Full details about the event can be found on the FSWeekend website here. The MSFS team has the largest booth in the exhibition hall, so we’ll be easy to find!

FlightSimWeekend: Later this month the annual FlightSimWeekend event will take place in Lelystad, Netherlands. This event is held at the Aviodrome Aviation Museum, which will be open for community members to explore alongside the event. The Microsoft Flight Simulator team will be present at the event, where we are looking forward to attending our first dedicated flight simulation event in Europe!

Glad they are presenting. My biggest hopes are:

  • That there will be at least one booth with triple screens running MSFS, to keep hope alive that triple screens have ongoing support. I’m really nervous this functionality is slowly losing support…

  • That Jorg announces the existing fleet of 130+ first party aircraft will be getting a lot more much needed love and maintenance on a regular ongoing basis.

  • That whatever “new thing” comes out, it isn’t another half-baked, half-finished, “aspirational” announcement - but that it is fully thought through, tested, working, actually ready for release, and has an ongoing support contract to fix bugs in a much more timely manner…

  • That there will be better clarity on the platform. What I mean is, I think Microsoft / Asobo have tried to do so many things in house (like Career) which probably would have been better if done by developers… So many things that end up being half finished. But since Microsoft wants everything on console and cloud, they keep trying to do it all themselves in house, and it creates a weird situation where they sort of compete with developers they should be incentivizing instead. Just my opinion.

Hoping the A330 gets some love-would love to see A340 EFB features come to it and with the features we have on the A340 (especially with EIS1, time acceleration function, autosaves).
