Asobo/Microsoft silence

From what I understand, it’s just speculation…

One vacation and maybe they are working and trying to sort out the bugs that are still around as we move forward with development.

An update is not a software update, it’s an informational update. They mix these terms around at MS which is confusing.

And the workday is ending in Europe so don’t count on something being fixed today.

I have been following this thread and I can see here a great example of LOVE and CARE :cupid:. I think we all, at least me, love this sim and what it offers to us. I have had experience of flight sims since 1984 and Commodore 64. This sim has brought a sense of flying closer to me that I could ever believed in my life. That is an remarkable achievement indeed.
But now my flying days are on pause until this weather thing is fixed. I am also frustrated because I am in the middle of my project from Finland to New Zealand :grinning:. Another great example, what this sim can offer to us and why I love it so much.
So I understand peoples anger and frustration. And I also wonder the lack of communication from Asobo/Microsoft. I do wonder if this kind of behavior is good for business and I would assume that they do think at least that.

Since SU7 there is actually at least one hotfix in the pipeline. There’s even a beta out since 05.12. The latest official info abt. the current CTD,/Live Weather bug was on twitter yesterday and also in this forum on yesterday. There’s also a list of known issues and sort of a roadmap easily to access via the main menu. So what’s your problem? Do you want them to call you personally on a daily base giving you exact information abt. the latest developments and meeting results?

I would just like them to come out and say their priorities is to fix the bugs instead of upgrades to things in game and adding content to the store.

That’s how it feels so far since I paid £100 for the premium version on xbox, just world map upgrades and some minor new store content, some things have been improved but for the majority of bugs its still a mess.

I appreciate everyone deserves a holiday though and don’t expect fixes to come during that time, it just feels like a lot of important bugs as minor as they are, are just not a priority for Ms/Asobo to fix.
When I see some of the bug threads and how long they date back its really depressing.

Oh boy.. Whenever I read all these passionate and angry statements I just try to imagine how much people really love [the use of] this simulator just like myself.

It’s funny though. In a recent comprehensive survey it was asked how much participants had spend on their pc hardware and by that count the high-end result is either way too low or all the participants of that 2% love their pc so much that they use it A LOT to ventilate all that anger here with their +5K machines buying them all that passionate entitlement.

Well, overall we just have to wait and sit it out again. They know there’s a problem, they didn’t do it on purpose and they’ll fix it eventually no doubt. Good luck.

Exactly, unfortunately people forget that sometimes when posts gets too heated it’s because at the end of the day we love this game when it works, we do not hate it at all!

Well, i can get the frustration that people who have a holiday and want to play the sim with correct weather don’t like whats happening now. But from the earliest versions in 19something this still is a masterpiece.

Personally i prefer SU more at the moment then WU. At the moment i don’t really care about new hand crafted POI’s. I bought the €120 premium deluxe DVD edition. At the moment i have no clue what the differences are anymore between versions. Besides the weather i would first like to get a good working ATC, good working Asobo planes (update the 787 en 747 with buttons working and stuff and other stock aircraft), update Bing maps, because some places are ridiculous and don’t let me pay for those updates, imo i already paid for those first released planes. And fix ungoing problems like LOD and server issues. I think for many people way more important then a reno race event… Add these things when the basics are back.

I contest this data point. it does not as you state, ask how much the participants spent on their “pc hardware”, but rather, “How much do you estimate you have spent on flight simulation hardware…”. Is this a goof from The Onion?

FWIW getting reports in the other thread that it’s fixed

Do not forget last words in latest dev update:

Happy holidays and clear skies to all!

– MSFS TEAM –

So they succeed. I had clear sky everytime Live Weather was on.
Ohh, I frogot that Live Weather is completely down since beginning of 2022.

Estimated Zulu announcement time?

Well true that. However it is very often pointed out that the +5K rig was especially bought for MSFS so I think it still counts.

I bought a PC especially myself too, but I got done with about 1500 euroes and hardly ever a stutter or CTD and running most stuff ultra. I suppose it’s just a matter of being a well informed consumer too hea?

Live weather is back folks!!!

I will believe it when the banner is updated. But I hope that’s right

I deactivated the real time because it gave me stutters and crashes, but I just made a descent to the destination and boom it crashed with the desktop again … How lazy to fly like this for today I close the sim !!! Thanks for nothing Asobo

I saw it as a update verbal than update software but yeah

yes, agreed. though well-informed even lends to subjectivity. the game itself requires a relatively considerable sum of money to purchase. and to have access to online service one needs a further subscription. To run the game, one needs a PC or XBOX (more $). that $0 figure is what gets me. everybody, on some level, is spending something on this game. arguably, time playing this game or simulator can even be valued. this value of course would vary depending on each of our perspectives, values, and financial considerations.

To be fair, they have stated that SU8 will be solely dedicated to bug fixes. Estimated release in February I believe.
