Weird thing. First flight in ATR since the update. Really first two flights and both times, at about 11-15000 feet, all the LCD screens froze up. Even the EFB was frozen. Knobs all worked and buttons worked but lights on buttons and LCD screens themselves did not work. 11K first time, second time 15K, all the LCD screens stopped working. I was actually in outside view mode at the time so didn’t see it in real time, just when I came back to the cockpit.
Anyone else getting freezes? I found an old topic about it that was apparently “resolved” in a patch, but it looks like this bug might be back, then, I guess.
Specs: 13600K, 3070SC, 32GB memory. Steam PC version.
Yes…..in the past few days I have been flying the ATR-42 600 and usually 10 to 15 min after takeoff the screens on the flight deck computers will freeze. Outside scenery is still rolling by the window and the sounds are still present, but I am unable to change any settings in the cockpit. I hope Asobo can revisit this because right now fs2020 is unusable at least with the ATR.
This is added info to my earlier post. On You Tube there is a video that explains the proper way to program your flight plan into the FMC. I used to hand type in my waypoints on the scratch pad then put them on the line that says Discontinuity. This is what is causing the flight deck screens to freeze up. Watch the video and learn the correct method of flight plan programming by using the soft keys on the FMC.
I am experiencing trouble with the ATR 72-600 also. I can create a flightplan thru the integrated system and the aircraft follows the path; However, when i land and taxi to the gate. I am unable to shut the aircraft down either manually or using the overhead panel to locate battery, which shows to be off and mouse click not able to move it..either on or off.. The panel on the pilots left side, where you choose Aircraft, Performance, Flightplan etc…will NOT function with click of mouse after showing up at a gate. “My passengers stuck on the plane” !

Same here, half way frozen, and I’m not gonna even be bothered with reporting the bug this time.
I reported something else last month and they bar straight ignored me after gave me some bullxxit “on and off” stuff then closed the ticket without any solution! So I told them to get their attitude straight otherwise I’ll report them to customer protection. And right next day these dxxkless mofos frozen my account straight forward.

I think i found the cause… 4simmer livery from marketplace cause the issues… i download livery from flightsim.to and seems work fine… in the same point where system freeze,now is flying well.
I don’t have anything from this developer (never heard of it either) but I’m just trying to figure out how to land my plane at EDDT when my screens froze and I’m still before final turn
Right, I found an instant solution. It’s not ideal, but it allows to finish the flight with no problems. The solution kind of relates to problems with engines not starting, but the engine (not starting) and batter ydrainage solution is explained here (just 7min video out of which the needed part takes 4min) :
Additionally to that I think the issue is that Asobo created a permanent bind between ATR and GPU van. There’s broadly discussed topic regarding engines not starting, but not like in the video here, but NH spooling up and after moving condition levers up the engine does not start. I experienced it several times.
I think both engines issues are boud to this GPU truck. If it’s not there, than there’s a good chance that either you will have issues with batteries or engines not starting. Weird. So in this case, the solution is to spawn at the gate, where this truck will appear.
Now to freezing screens. Based on same solution via Dev Mode, when I expeienced screen freeze I fired up Dev Mode, headed to same tool bars, but instead of clicking on Systems, I clicked (to be hones, a little by accident, on Quick Reload. To my surprise the sim reloaded the aircraft with engines running (you can head to the tablet => Aircraft => click on Ready to Taxi if you’re not sure), but the point is the aircraft is reloded with engines running, wing level mode on and ALT mode on. It’s a bit annoying because from what I experienced the call signs is gone, so ATC calls you out by your reg.number, and the FMC is not programmed. So what I did was headed to FMC, put new flightplan (Departure airport/Arrival airport nad last waypoint allowing me to find my heading towards runway, you can put whole approach and than just use DTO option) and that’s it!
