Flight Sim 24 should be called more like Taxi Sim 24. The sim runs nice and smooth on the ground but once you start getting any altitude it’s a stutterfest.
Still having that audio popping and sutter issue with 2024. Nothing I do seems to resolve the issue. Now I’m curious to know how many are having this issue compared to those that don’t have this issue. I’ve watched so many streamers and all I’ve seen never have this issue. Very frustrating cause I want to let 2020 slow go but I have keep going back to it for my flight sim addiction.
I wasn’t getting it at all when I was on Win 11 23H2. I had my registry edited to stop 24H2 installing, but somehow just over a week ago it ended up installing anyway through Windows update.
Since them I’m getting this exact audio popping, CPU spikes and stutters randomly.
Since the cursed 24H2 installed itself I’ve also started getting ntdll crashes with my RAM EXPO profile enabled. No issues with it previously in 23H2.
Only thing that has changed on my system has been 24H2.
To say I loathe and despise Win 11 24H2 would be a gross understatement and I’m incredibly p*ssed that it managed to install despite all my efforts to keep it off my PC.
Every time I think I fixed it it comes back a week later. I have never experienced such a frustrating issue in regards to flight simming.
Tried and for me instans stutters when “disabling” the rolling cache. But thanks for the suggestion and tip. Good it helps you and hopefully others.
Makes only a small difference and is more like a “hack.” I’ve switched it back on and now follow this concept:
Performance Boost for Strong Hardware – G-Sync OFF + Multi-Frame Generation (MSFS 2025)
Note: You’ll need strong hardware — ideally an RTX 5000 series GPU.
