“Medium cargo missions use too short a runway” - by design
How is that “by design”?
My guess is its design is to challenge pilots to actually study and prepare for the flight and understand if their aircraft is capable of flying to a given airport.
That said, not sure why there’s a section in the career portion of the SDK specifically about aircraft runway performance requirements for certain mission types.
“… the career missions system uses data from the flight_performance.cfg file, so this file must be present and correctly filled out with accurate flight performance data, with particular attention being made to having correct landing distance tables.“
Nice, I see dev names are being displayed on 2024 thumbnails
cant wait for SU4’s beta.
hope we’ll get many fixes for the stock planes
Generally aircraft fixes aren’t part of beta builds outside of those made by Asobo directly, though there’s always a few exceptions.
Hoping the infinite load bug that SU2 seems to have fixed but still in SU3 for many is finally fixed in SU4 so we don’t have to mess around lowering LOD and settings just to load into a Free Flight.
Still get the infinite load bug with Free Flight in SU2 and SU3-did SU2 address that as per snapshots, still happens to me and currently have to use the provided LOD lowering workaround which was supposed to fix the infinite load bug with SU3 betas and final as well as with SU2.
Hopefully before the next version of Flight Simulator comes out, we will get the World Hub back.
Would like to know what the updates are about for Carenado’s F33A, CT210N and B55.
Agreed. I avoid the 747 due to the phantom engine 3 disappearing, and I find the idea of a 787 with no wing flex very odd, it’s one of it’s most famous features.
As a side note, still waiting for the 1.1.1 DC Concorde update on Xbox! Currently unable to use the INS in any way shape or form, it’s all blank. Hoping for that update to be pushed through soon.
Well, good news: I see there are now no bugs in FS2020…..
On a more sensible note, there are things on the MSFS 2020 wish list that have been there for years and yet are still marked “under investigation” for example “I miss trains” and “replay function missing”. These are obviously never going to be addressed. It would be more honest if these were simply marked “not planned” and then deleted. Keeping things open for years doesn’t help anybody
Or, alternatively, they should open up their design goals for career mode. I even think that a manual (gasp!) would be in order.
how about next week ? = how about never ? it’s incredible
Any word on when they are going to fix the directional placement of live shipping? Right now harbours look they have been recently visited by Godzilla with ships strewn about. It really is immersion breaking.
Unfortunately shipping data doesn’t include what direction a ship is facing which complicates things.
Whatever the reason, this is currently one of the biggest eye sores. If it can’t be fixed then live ship traffic is not a viable option and we should move back to offline traffic. They should have figured that out before launch.
And then there are these yachts populating small bodies of water without sea access which can’t be turned off… They are there in live and offline traffic and disabling them in the library does nothing.
I have turned all forms of traffic off, for air traffic I use a 3rd party app, the rest only makes it look cartoonish
. Interestingly I never see any ships beached in any of the trailers…
