Having a mix of the new and old voices is an immersion killer. I do prefer the Neural voice.

Actually I do notice a subtly different cadence with the new AI ATC voicesâIâm emphasizing the very minute difference here because they are trained on the same voice samples as the previous ones. If someone has recordings of speech and compares them before and after the update, feel free to post! There should be a barely noticeable difference.
As others mentioned in this thread, the upgrade to Neural voices does not solve the lack of cadence varieties with AI ATC and traffic. If anything, they likely did not intend to resolve that issue with this update itself.

Much better, less robotic voices, thanks. I agree with others that more different voices and accents would be nice.

In the latest build Iâm now finding only the player voice is of the new type. All other voices are the older style robotic voices. Hope this can be fixed for release as the new voices are much more natural.

yes voices sound better but my copilot still spells my callsign name instead of pronouncing it like ATC does.

1.25.7 meant to fix the same voice for ATC and AI Traffic issue.
It didnât on my end. Still same voice here.

âGood dayâ sounds weird now. Used to sound perfect like we hear (in US) every day - very quick. Now it sounds almost over emphasized. Any way to dial this back?

I would suggest it is now partially fixed. I do not think they intended everybody to have the same voice.
This topic is tagged bug-logged, so someone in power clearly agrees with my view.
My copilot still spells my call sign. I canât believe this is that hard to fixâŠ
Looks like my 2 bug reports around ATC voices were merged which will confuse everyone as:
-
the atc voices moving to neural is fixed - ie all voices are neural now (whether they sound better, say things right, etc wasnât the bug)
-
the issue where the atc and all ai aircraft use the same voice on a given channel remains and was confirmed not going to be fixed even though raised in day one of beta. This is a regression from SU8 and expect will be noticed by many!

Thatâs a bit unfair. They said they wouldnât fix it by today but it is in the process of being addressed.
Hopefully we wonât have to wait until SU10 for that change.

In planes without copilot (like F18, NXCub), voice defaults to male despite female avatar. Your pilot/copilot voice that is.

Choose a female avatar (for both pilot and copilot) and try a single seat plane. Your voice will be male.

I assume itâs the same issue as this one.
If you set the pilot, co-pilot and instructor to all male in the MS Store version and turn on ATC with AI, they start speaking in a female voice.
Iâve been getting this on and off for a few weeks now, prior to SU9. Seems there are some combinations that upset the sim. Iâm back to male again after cycling male pilots and female copilots

Can confirm it seems tied to ATC AI assist. Voice is correct gender without ATC AI assist. It seems copilot voice (i.e. AI assistance) defaults to male if no copilot is present (single seat plane).
I flight with female co-pilote for long time and now a male voice and a lot of issues. I wonder if they test on average pc the FS with mod before released. I send a lot of issue report and MS reply to me solve??? Nothing i flag is not solve at all. I wonder if the repport we send was handdle by computor at microsoft and no one to realy read it???
