Brief description of the issue:
Since SU9 the ATC seems to locked on a female voice, it uses the same voice for ATC and AI traffic so it sounds like ATC is talking to itself, in the ATC comms window both ATC and AI planes get the same Tower icon.

Two flights this afternoon, first one IFR second VFR without shutting down the sim in between, just redoing FP from world map. First flight, single female voice for all transmissions (except mine). Second flight male voice, the same.
Not a game killer but it takes some (more) of the realism out of it. Hope MS/Asobo come up with a fix soon.
pausing the flight and going into MISC setting and resaving the already selected male pilot will reset the voice to male again. This is definitely a bug.
Apart from this obvious bug I wish Asobo would apply a simple algorithm whenever a voice had to be selected/heard based on the following rules:
ATC voice can not ever be the same as the selected pilot Avatar/co pilot voice.
New frequency ATC voice can not be the same as ATC voice from previous frequency.
I think that would rule out all duplications and confusions.
DaveJK9173; Yes although there is a slight difference here. If for example I select an Avatar say pilot1 and I keep that pilot for each flight then I should never hear that voice as ATC, full stop.
While your suggestion, which I agree with, is a single ATC/pilot response thing at that moment, so they just must be different but can be used elsewhere during the flight.
I think bottomline of all this is that a great deal more voices are required.
I can understand that recording more voices can be a pain, but existing voices could be altered slightly with pitch software and thus create a lot more extra voices.
Two different, female, voices running everything on multiple frequencies (ATC & pilots) in the busy Washington area just now - gets a bit monotonous! At least I’m still male.
Personally I’d be happy if they just went back to whatever Azure was in SU8 and before. But no doubt something else changed so they can’t do that now.
Oh yes, get rid of the over-pronunciated " good day " on very busy frequencies.

Yes

Both the pilot and ATC voice are stuck on one voice type since SU9. The pilots voice sounds robotic, and not as of it is through a radio headset. The ATCs voice is stuck on the default female ATC voice setting.

Applies on Xbox as well, and the location of the flight doesn’t matter. While we’re tuned to a given center, both the ATC and all the AI planes on that frequency use the same voice. Tuning to the next repeats the problem, except everyone could have a different voice. But it always sounds as if the local ATC was talking by themselves.

Kamusta Kuya. Magandang gabi!
My wife as well, so guess you are used to rice 3 times a day with dried fish with eyeballs and Asobo. Asobo, not Asobo MSFS forum spell check. Sheesh.

Even after latest updates the ATC and AI aircraft voices are the same female. In the ATC dialogue box only the ‘Tower’ icon appears even if it is an pilot speaking
If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:
There might be confusion if the pilot and co pilot are set to the same gender. You may then not be aware that the responses to ATC are seemingly defaulting to the co pilot. This can be tested by having pilot and co pilot different genders.
And that is WITHOUT setting the co pilot to handle coms. There is a definite bug and I believe it is being worked on.
Yes I am hearing the same thing you are. I can change my pilot voice. But all other aircraft as well as ATC are the same female voice. And if I hear her say “tree” instead of “three” one more time I’m going to go postal. Lol.
