First of all, I am deeply impressed with the quality of the Scenery in MSFS for the most part. I have been flying all over Europe and it is simply beautiful. At the moment I am exploring Africa with the TBM930. I am in Central Africa at the moment and the quality doesn’t compare to what I saw in Europe. Yesterday I did a flight from Entebbe Uganda to Kigali in Rwanda and what should I say. It wasn’t exactly a joy to look out the Window. White patches on the ground that must have been clouds in satellite images before and also inconsistent color schemes of the scenery, fragmenting it into big squares of different base colors.
Certain portions of the world remain sensitive to detailed overhead satellite photo quality. Bing Maps Team, upon who MS-Asobo is relying on, is limited to what is available and having to also conform with various nation-state and governing agency requirements.
