Thank you for taking my post as it was meant to be. You can get away with some pretty ridiculous stuff in FS 2020 (at least for the moment) that would kill you in real life.
In MSFS with the Airbus A320N (A32NX) and the default Boeing 787
In X-Plane 11 with the Airbus A321N (Toliss)
Both worked fine but it was definitely harder in X-Plane due to (more) correctly modeled wind gusts: these will make you (almost) overspeed at one time and then suddenly (almost) have you stalled. It requires you to manage your speed in such a way that there’s enough headroom in both directions. That’s something you don’t see in MSFS.
