Black Square Advanced Turbine and Piston Dukes

On A and Ohs a lot of the Streamdeck profile for theTBM seems to work, including AP functions on the Streamdeck Plus, which was why I was going to write more later.

Is there a way I can use your profile on my Streamdecks 15 buttons? I don’t have the XL!

Yes, forgot to mention I’m working on SD + profiles for the Dukes as well, for radio and AP.

I don’t think it’ll be automatic to import, since it’s a different number of buttons.

@SteveKane

I would not buy better pedals if you don’t need them :slight_smile:

It’s manageable with using both rudders (check in windows if they use the whole available movement) and ailerons together.

There is just a video published about it:

(ignore the title, it’s almost the same for both SUs, it’s just about the technique of managing it)

Plus, the incoming changes to ground stability in SU15 might also improve things a bit.

Thanks for posting your control settings.

I was finding the Dukes a bit light tbh and your settings were a big help. I am using the Honeycomb Alpha Yoke (not the thrustmaster t-flight stick) but even so the settings were a great starting off point and now the Grand Duke is tons better and feels a lot heavier :+1:

Thanks for the link. If A330 Driver gets squirrely on runways, then I dont’ feel so bad. :slight_smile: I decided to enroll in SU15 to see how this changes. Will advise.

Just got confirmation from a simbrief developer that the three profiles have been added concerning the Dukes.

Awesome :folded_hands::airplane:

Awesome!

I just came here to ask if anyone knew how to request them to be added to Simbrief.

Thanks!

Force feedback here and the Duke feels good on the Logitech G940. A bit of weight and inertia, broadly equivalent to the TBM 850. I would have raised my eyebrows if it was lighter. Two approaches so far and I rate it as very pleasant to fly and feeling very credible across all three axes, although weather here across southern UK has been pretty good this last few days and so is hardly an edge of envelope test I suppose.

Wow, that was really quick, but yay!

Alright, my rudder pedal “jitter” is what’s at fault. I was on external camera watching myself taxi in a 13 mph crosswind, and the rudder was twitching all over the place. I have an Airbus sidestick, so as an experiment I mapped the twist to my rudder, and it was much smoother. I also entered the Su15 beta, unsure what factor that might have.

Guess I’ll invest in some new rudder pedals. :slight_smile:

What if you expand the deadzone a bit? Maybe that can solve the jitters?

Won’t quite work, since it jitters when I’m deflecting them. These pedals were gifted to me, so happy to have gotten almost 4 years out of them. Time for something with Hall sensors, maybe Turtle Beach.

Ah gotcha.
Good luck with finding a new pair :oncoming_fist:

Back on topic, this plane (sorry, “these planes”) are simply superb. Gonna start focusing on the piston now.

Hey there, anyone else having issues with the GNS530? When I set up a flight plan in world map, and then jump into the aircraft, the GNS530 has no active flight plan.
(see here for clarification: Empty flight plan)
GTN750 working just fine.

I had the exact same issue with the A2A Comanche. For this issue A2A has provided a fix and the flight plan is now being loaded properly.

I know about some kind of bug present in SU14 concerning the 530.

Maybe that has something to do with it.

Does it work entering the flightplan manually?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I’m on SU15 Beta.

And yes, I can enter a Flight plan manually, and it appears that everything is working fine.
