Black Square Analog Beechcraft Bonanza A36 / G36

Nick has said he’s releasing all of his modded planes (the Caravan, the King Air, the Bonanza and the Baron) as standalone aircraft, at the same level as the Duke, for 2024. He didn’t say how soon.

it will be worth buying them again for the added features. Hopefully we might get a discount if we bought the old mod versions, who knows.

He said yes, there would be a discount if you owned the modded version.

Oof I forgot about that. That’s gonna be painful for a while. I’ve got all of the BS Analogs!

Ok. Thanks for the info. I get being charged as they are a company putting in effort and time. Did he mention anything about usage as is, or if it would only work in 2020 for the time being?

Also did he mention since it was going to be a stand alone that it was going to be “upgraded” to 2024 features or just a 2020 version in 2024?

Sorry for all the questions, their products just make flying more realistic and much less boring.

I’m looking forward to it. I have to say I like the flight model a lot, even if it’s mostly stock. Having an EFB wouldn’t hurt…

I believe he said he was just going to do the standalone versions, didn’t really say anything about upgrading the mods. That’s still 4 aircraft, plus upgrading the Duke, the TBM and the new Starship for 2024. He’s going to be a very busy boy.

He’s very active on the Just Flight forums, so if you want you can ask him directly.

Hey, just dusted off the sim and got the update the Bonanza today. Now the fuel flow gauge face is a clock. The needle still works like fuel flow, just over the face of a clock. Anyone else have this issue after the update?

Yup. Resolved by removing the Ultra sharp AI overhaul mod. Perhaps you can check if you have any panel or cockpit mod for the Analog Bonanza

Thanks, it was the interior texture mod I had. It also needed to be updated.

Just to confirm what we really already kinda knew: the Black Square planes that modify the base 2020 aircraft (so the Bonanza, the Baron, and the King Air) don’t work in 2024 at all. I tried to load the King Air, and the sim just never loads in the plane (because, I suppose, it’s looking for base aircraft files that no longer exist in 2024).

I read somewhere today that all the base aircraft are encrypted. So looks like we are SOL. Shame.

Which I imagine is on of the reasons Black Square are remaking these 4 aircraft as standalone products, no longer relying on base aircraft.

Wouldn’t it be possible to copy the MSFS2020 default plane to the MSFS2024 community folder ?

It doesn’t load in 2024, needs an update.

It’s said above. Unfortunately, but somehow logical.

I thought the steam gauge Caravan was another one ?

yes, at this point, none of the analog updates (Baron, Bonanza, Caravan, King Air) work in 2024, only the stand-alone (Duke & TBM) with varying degrees of success.

Without the Black Square Caravan the standard Asobo Caravan will gather dust in the hangar during the entire lifetime of FS2024
