are you using legacy cockpit mode ? on my side I use scroll up with the modern style avoiding misclick, maybe it work with mouse wheel aswell
It may very well be something like this, although I’m not using any custom scripts in SPAD. I’ll do some more investigation when I have some time this weekend.
Just checked; yep, legacy mode. I’ll turn that off and see what changes. Thanks for the idea!
Buuut, I’m sticking with Legacy mode as the button highlighting is a nope for me.
Thanks for that. I was hoping there was a fix that did not involve 3rd party software but I guess there isn’t… at least for now.
maybe check this flightsim.to https://flightsim.to/file/43157/blue-highlight-removal
I know there is one down side with modern mode like a key in a320 cockpit from AP not fully accessible, but modern alow you to change feature using mouse wheel (on switches) or by dragging on the knobs, it s very comfortable for hdg etc feel free to test different mouse behaviors
I know what you mean, but nothing similar was introduced in the analog king air. I think I found the reason and fixed it in an inofficial patch and informed black square , so I think it will be officially fixed with the next official patch too.
Good to know, thanks!
I don’t use FD so I don’t care if it’s on or off. AP is off though.
I don’t use Pitch Synch but I already had it bound and it worked before.
I do use the Rocker and when I do it’s only in VS mode during decent, so again, works for me.
Sorry it’s not working for all your needs… i guess
pressing the actual rocker switch on the console has no effect in those modes either…
I fly the AFL King Air very often and it’s been updated multiple times, with no bugs that I’m aware of. They also recently announced an update for it to XP12 is on the way. We would be lucky if they brought it over to FS. The MILVIZ would be nice too!
FYI
NEW GTN 750 RELEASE V2.1.50
- Bugfix: WTT mode: No map GSI for visual approaches.
Actually the AFL version was vastly improved by dedicated users, not by AFL people. I believe they are now more focused in updating for XP12, don’t think they will release an MSFS version in mid term (XP systems code is quite different to MSFS).
About Milviz one, it is a complex bird with its PL21 stuff. I know they are involved in other projects right now so I don’t expect a MSFS version soon either.
The pitch rocker adjusts pitch reference in those modes - so you can change the IAS or pitch setting directly (in single increments). Very handy if you want to climb using a different profile than the standard climb mode.
Like I said.. does not appear to do anything in those modes in my plane.
Ex.
In “Climb” mode, the rocker doesn’t do anything. It climbs at 160 kts (<10k’) and 140 kts (>10k’) regardless of how many times i press it.
How do I change the pressure units to hPa ?
In Msfs settings I’ve already set Metric units, but that doesn’t change the gauge
the speed (in climb mode) is mostly affected by altitude as I heard from the dev when he explained me some stuff regarding AP
“The Climb Profile mode actually has a schedule of airspeeds, not just one. It will maintain… 160kts to 10,000ft, 140kts to 20,000ft, 130kts to 30,000, and 120kts above.”
Rocker only works for Pitch, IAS or VS mode.
As some kind soul pointed out to me when I raised the same question, Left click and hold on the altimeter knob and then right click and your QNH will no longer trouble you.
PS I did have some intial trouble with a Corsair mouse but got it to work eventually.
Misclick KA200. It wasnt me! I only use Streamdeck for AP operation and so never have to look down at all ![]()
Oh yeah… Sorry
