I’m quite interested in trying out the sound files for the King Air from FTSim to improve the default engine sounds. I am aware that this has been mentioned a little bit in this thread already but I would be interested in the thoughts of those Patreons who have already subscribed and used the sounds. In particular:

(1) do you think that the sounds are much better (I gather they are louder at least) than default? To be honest, I did listen to the short demo but couldn’t quite make up my mind.

(2) what is the minimum subscription to obtain the files? I’ve looked on the website but it is still unclear to me which subscription offers the King Air files.
-
(3) is it okay to download the sound files and then cancel the subscription after only one payment?

(4) can you pay for the subscription with Paypal?

I find it is much better. You can pay $5 one time, download the file, then cancel. I believe PayPal is accepted by patreon.

Sorry, I haven’t been keeping up with this thread. Did something break with the SU11 release? I’ve been flying the DHC-2 Beaver since the release and thought I’d take a hop in the King Air, but am having trouble, mostly with the TDS 750 GTNxi.
Buttons that won’t respond to a press and it flew under and through an approach GS without capture. AP was kinda wonky too, like VS setting shut off before reaching target.
If you’ve been using the new Working Title 530, that’s apparently causing conflicts with the TDS 750.

Hmmm…Thanks. I did try the pms50-gns530 upgrade of the 530 for use in the Beaver, but found it had conflicts with the KAP140 mod, so I removed it a few days ago.
Did a fresh install of the GTNXi and the King Air and no change. Any touch buttons on the right side of the screen are non-functional. It seems to have something to do with camera angles, though, because if I move over, as if I’m sitting in the co-pilot seat, I can activate any part of the screen. Move left to the pilot’s side, and the right half is non-responsive.
I tried with the C310R and the C414AW and those are both fine. Gotta be something with the BS Analog King Air. Very strange.

I’m a big fan of K’s at FTSim+, but the King Air sounds may be “too” accurate, in that they feature an extremely high pitch that is both distracting and hurts my ears–so I’ve not been able to use it–even with trying to filter out the high-end with an equalizer.
So, for the King Air I prefer the default sounds for now.
It’s a Paetron subscription, which I think is monthly–so technically you could subscribe for a month and download sounds, etc. then stop. I keep my subscription going because I want to continue to support his incredible work, and because he provides useful upgrades.
I use many of his sounds for both X Plane and MSFS aircraft–so I think a continued sub is a bargain!
Not sure about how I pay–I think it’s through PayPal.

I got the update last night and I also got a headache, though a different one which seems to have screwed over my peripherals as well as the AP which I used for the very first time to try and troubleshoot. Main peripherals for day to day use, are
Logitech Multi Panel and Radio Panel
3 x Streamdecks, one 32 and 2 x15
The above all run through Axis and Ohs.
Things that no longer seem to work via the above, are AP HDG, APP, VS. All these were triggered or attempted to be triggered, through any of the above units and didnt work through the aircraft AP either. Interestingly, the main component to work nearer expectations, was the TDS GTNxi which got me home safely. There is much to check and I am away from the PC for a few days so include the above for those scratching their heads and wondering what has happened. When I do get back, I hope to find a way of removing that GPS upgrade at least temporarily, because the KA is my preferred mount by far. I will watch the thread closely to see how this is going down for others.

I bought this product today but nothing happens after launching the exe installer…
Has anyone ever had this problem?
Maybe a security setting? I just downloaded it again yesterday to do a reinstall. Double-click on the EXE and, at least on my system, I have to “allow” it to make changes to my system and the installer should open.

It looks to me that there isn’t a clear consensus over whether the FTSim sounds are preferable to the default sounds for the King Air. Some users seem to prefer FTSim but others prefer default.
I think the only way forward for me now is to just bite the bullet, take a £5 plus VAT subscription and try them for myself.

I had to move the .exe from my download folder to my desktop and it run…(one mystery of windows)…
This plane with the integration of others GPS is fantastic !!! Good job

Similar problems after updating. I’m using honeycomb yoke and throttle. Go around no longer works, HDG mode for the flight director no longer works, NAV is hit or miss. Also have the TDS GTN 750 which seems to have lost much of its touch screen function. It’s like the right side of the screen no longer responds to input. Oh well, it was almost perfect while it lasted.

You need to uninstall the Marketplace Working Title 530 mod, restart the sim, and all will be well again.

Is it possible to completely deactivate all inbuilt failures using the Avidyne? Not just reducing the failures frequency but to deactivate any failures for a flight.

I’ve got the opposite problem!
I can abuse the engine as much as I like and the enjing condition remains at 100%
I even reinstalled the package so I’m not sure what to do next
