Yesterday I reinstalled both Axis and Ohs and the Kingair itself, which seems to have fixed things on the autopilot front. TDS was fine. Interestingly, the Caravan exhibited much the same issues but I havent reinstalled that yet so that I can compare when next at the PC, hopefully tomorrow. It was nothing to do with the WT GNS530 as I havent installed it at all. In fact, I had wrongly assumed that it was in the update package. This still all seems tied back to the update of last Wednesday night for me.
Addendum…
After two flights, the problem resurfaced, but I was out of time and away from the PC for several days. After much reading and searching, I found a WT GNS530 update, presumably from the Dec 08 patch and even though I am not aware of installing this myself ( Why would I when I have the TDS 750?) The search in content manager found a 7.52mb file which, when deleted, turned my life back to smiles. The Kingair has had a quick shakedown flight and an ILS and RNAV approach have confirmed that all is well. I was worried for a while there…
Mine engines are in 100% conditions as well. I bought it last week it and I just flied 30 hours with this aircraft so far, so I don`t know if it was supposed to be less than at. However, I already have a random failure while flying, which is very nice.
FTSim has videos on YouTube that demonstrate their sounds, including one for the King Air sounds. It’s not perfect, but you might want to check those out…
For some hours this last week it was wrongly set to “mandatory” and may have been installed automatically. if unsure check your content manager for it.
i have been trying to better map my throttle sentivity for ground fine and power idle. I would like to simulate exactlly where the lift gates are located. Anyone have this figured out?
It might have been. Go to Content Manger and uninstall (delete) it. I actually really like it for planes that don’t offer the GTNxi 750, so I delete and install it as needed. Eventually, they’ll sort it out.
yes they should; and they used to for me!
I can now fly for hours with the throttle and props full forward with no concequence
I think maybe the file where engine damage is stored has some corrupted data or something but I can’t find the file where the data is stored
Interestingly after completely uninstalling and reinstalling the aircraft it still remembers the settings I have for the global failure rate which tells me the files are stored in a location that is not removed when unintalling the aircraft!
This worked! The Working Title 530 was installed (although I never installed it manually). I removed it in the content manager. Not only did the TDS 750 come back to life, but all of the autopilot/flight director problems went away. Thanks for the help.
this as been debated a while before , I asked to someone used to C90 , he told me it s not uncommon to see a twin engine aircraft going by his own if not brake are applied , so it seem legit to me, he explained me they are used to lower the prop for taxxing phase or turning high idle to give some push with smoother way than increasing torque,
included an inoffical small fligh model update for sim update 11 beta users, that includes the above mentioned bug fix and additionally adds an new power lever curve and a first itteration of a new stall behaviour.
I just updated the PMS GTN 750, have the WTT pack updated too, and the PMS fix as well. Now I can’t change the cockpit instruments, I’M stuck on the 1 750 with no 530, if I try to change the model show up for a second then switches back.
Anyone seen anything like this ? When the 530 shows up for a second it’s screen is full white.
