Black Square Steam Gauge Overhaul - King Air 350i

Are there any reviews of this product by real life King Air pilots out, yet?

at the moment you can’t infortunately

bottom of the manual p.92
“Why can’t the camera go into the aft cabin like the Caravan?
The bounding box used for the camera is part of the exterior model, which cannot be altered
and redistributed as part of a paid product. It is very possible for modders to edit the default
KINGAIR_350I_LOD0.bin to add this functionality by moving only six vertices”

I m actually trying to import a model in blender, what a start, maybe a day I will be able to edit and make a mod for this insame plane and community, or maybe someone will do it faster and with better efficiency than me, really hope so, it sort fast :wink:

Black Square you’ve done it again Flew this beauty of an aircraft ALL DAY, I’m lost for words absolutely amazing, I even cried a little, this is in my TOP 5 for best MSFS addons no joke, if only we could get a Beechcraft line like what Carenado did for P3D/FSX. (Also does anyone do livery request in here, asking for a friend)

When the cabin overheats…

A small red warning light on the outer left side comes on (at 33°C) this is so cool… eh I mean hot.

The windshield wipers are actual functional, not in the same way as Fenix has their windshield wipers are animated but it stays clear of rain in the area where the wiper wipes:

The weather radar is functional:

This is only a matter of time :wink:
Airfoillabs for example has a King Air 350 too and I am sure they will release this some day for Flight Sim 20, and I guess I have seen some Barons and Bonanzas.

Oh oh - better don´t look at the Flysimware Cessna414 if you like this type of airplanes so much (twin props small to medium size) :wink:

You think the C90 and B100/200 is a possibility👀??

Ah, I think PMDG had a C90 and C200 in the old FSX days, maybe they will bring it sooner or later.

I have it in my hanger, but I’m more of a beechcraft type a guy😂

Is good. But then again I am biased, since this is nostalgia for meg. 20 years back type.

Ah excellent the turbines can get damage too when flying with too much torque and ITT.

Everything looks good:

Like in a perfect good study-level plane the circuit breakers are functional:

And some instruments go black depending on which circuit breaker is out:

Ten minutes after take-off… something is not okay there. These turbines clearly don´t like TOGA thrust for too many minutes like my Fenix does :smiley: the torque is not as high as it should be:

The handbook says: Feathering.

Now that was a stupid idea all power and the suction pump for the artificial horizon failed. How is the airplane attitude I cannot see anything outside:

Ah okay well it´s a little bit difficult flying without artificial horizons and therefore today´s flight guest should better use his seat belt, and maybe he will live to see another day (but I don´t think so). At least from inside everything looks okay - and it is nice and quiet since the turbines are out.

Would bringing one propeller out of feathering state turn the generator and the suction pump for my artificial horizon… let´s see… oh too late!

I find myself constantly braking during taxi. It seems a bit sporty during taxi.

I’ve got the power levers full back / off, props full forward fuel at low ideal? Is this normal speedy behaviour or am I doing something wrong?

airfoillabs does not even update their KA350 for x-plane ! no udpate since ages.

Oh so it´s abandonware? Too bad I thought Airfoillabs has fully stepped into Micrsoft Flight Sim 20 two months ago or so and will overhaul and bring their whole fleet to our sim.

from where did you get that news?

I read it somewhere on the forums. Too bad they had some real quality Cessnas and other goodies… and the engine cover (or bonnet or whatever it´s called in a plane) can be opened in their King Air 350 to see the turbines.

iirc real life ops often use beta range to break during taxi, to avoid using wheel brakes.

Ok I’ll give that a go.

Thank you

Hi just noticed for SU11 beta an update to the 350 hopefully this won’t have any impact on the new analogue update?

Beechcraft King Air 350i

  • Fixed a visual issue with the behavior of the AP/Disc bar

Hi, I just want to say, that your method has a risk of making problems in the analog mod. The safer solution is -
to
always copy the original panel.cfg from the original king air analog mod into the liveries panel folder and then edit the panel.cfg and set the size of the Vpainting to 0, 0, so it looks like this

[VPainting01]
size_mm = 0, 0
texture = $RegistrationNumber
location = exterior
painting00=Registration/Registration.html?font_color=white, 0, 0, 0, 0

Kind Regards
JayDee

There is no automatic thrust limit in a turbo prob, you have to watch the limit yourself. According to the POH max take off power is 95% with full rpm. And with this you should see no damage in your turbines. “Never” exeed the red line in the torque gauge.
